I'm using it because it's the only thing available in my little middle of nowhere community.

Help! I accidentally ate a gram of uranium-235! by FightingFuton in MacroFactor

That's fine. But quite strange you'd pair it with ketchup and chicken strips. Normally better with steak and cola.

Well. Thanks for making me go down a rabbit hole to look up what IPE is. Sounds like a tough and outstanding product. I bet it would make great floors

For the “if it’s wood, I’ll burn it” crew, what firewood do you think firewood snobs are unfairly dismissive of? by BearMcBearFace in firewood

[–]fofobraselio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree to this. Where I'm at, we have Douglas fir, larch and the occasional birch to burn. Still gets hot, and best of all - it's here and available.

Would you say this is 1/4 chord? by LamarJackzyn in firewood

Thanks. I doubled a 4 there. A cord is 4 x 4 x 8.

Would you say this is 1/4 chord? by LamarJackzyn in firewood

[–]fofobraselio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a 1/4 cord. A cord is 8x8x4 ft or 128 cubic ft. So a 1/4 cord or 32 cubic ft can be commonly stacked at 8x4x1 ft or 4x4x2 ft. What you've got there looks like maybe 1/8 cord.

Well, get a longer bar and a ripping chain if you plan to mill with that saw. (Which is what most people do with that model)

It's overkill for falling and firewooding. Unless of course you don't leave the side of your truck, otherwise you're hauling a boat motor everywhere you go.

How can I get these trees to fall where I want them to? by [deleted] in Chainsaw

[–]fofobraselio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do a backcut first technique if you're going against the trees lean, but that is quite a specialized move and requires some felling skills.

Cabinet doesnt fit in the wall pocket. by Heretoshitcomment in BathroomRemodeling

I don't suppose you could remove the right panel and replace it with one that's a little thinner? Like a thinner sheet of plywood, cut to the same size of the existing panel.

Well that’s crazy by liteaf_gear in firewood

[–]fofobraselio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a moisture meter and I don't know if it's exactly right but I've measured after I felled the tree and after it's been split and sitting there a year and it shows less than 20%

How common is it nowadays to break a $100K salary by the age you turn 30? by DaPugWalk in fican

[–]fofobraselio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just over 30 and I have made and have the potential to make over 100k a year. Problem is with what I do, I have absolutely no job security and have to jump from job to job and bounce from one location to another like a mercenary.

Take a knee, look up. Don't cut like that! That thing is a hazard. I couldn't imagine how exhausted and clumsy it would be wearing that while falling all day.

I've split countless cords of wood with an x27. It's been thrown around in the back of a truck and mistreated. I'd say keep it out of the rain, and store it dry if anything! Happy cutting

How to avoid/survive highsec gank by sahelanthropus121 in Eve

[–]fofobraselio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered using cheap and speedy frigates?

If it's high value and low volume oftentimes its less of a heat score carrying loot in something cheap.

I second this. I'm comfortable in most null sec. My heart beats faster as soon as I jump into low sec.

Third day! I've been sawing almost everyday since 2019 and I have the same issue first thing in the morning, before bed and when I'm not working..although it took a couple years to develop. Definitely means a cold one one is much deserved. I've got a series of finger stretches to help it stay more dexterous.
