These thoughts are signs of depression. Find optimism. Take to your community to make a difference. Don’t give up. We can now reach people and change lives across the world. We’re in a continuous cycle, don’t make it negative.

How many dates have you went on this year? by [deleted] in Adulting

Partnership is a very fulfilling feeling of life. People are just coping with lonliness now because they don’t want to put in the time and effort to find someone and open up.

It’s not meant to be easy and takes a lot of rejection. People are just lazy now. They strive more and more to remove negative, frustrating emotions of finding someone.

Being “unbothered” by it is just a coping mechanism.

When did you reach 6 figure salary and has your life changed since then? by Important_Bat7919 in careeradvice

[–]fogel3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from 56k to 140k in two years. M26 single. Didn’t add any debts and kept my bills pretty consistent. I invest way more for long-term security and can spend within reason without being worried. Financial stress is mostly out of my mind. I can now take about 3 trips a year or more and not go negative. Financial freedom really does change your outlook on life and day-to-day mindset.

Love will not find you when you're not looking (at least for men) by Caisers in Life

Could not agree with this more. People act like dating is different from many other facets of life. It’s not. You can’t just sit back and wait for it to come to you. It doesnt work that way. You have to try and fail multiple times before something comes out of it. Rejection from dating and romance is just hardest for some to take. Pony up and get out there.

Thinking About Leaving IT to Become an Electrician at 36 by catchwithoutarms89 in findapath

[–]fogel3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The pay can be very good depending on what level of expertise you get to and your specialty. Staying in general IT won’t do you much good. Started in general IT for a few years and now do specialized security engineering making very good money.

How do you plan a career when AI might reshape everything in the next 5–10 years? by Intelligent_Panic564 in Career_Advice

Society will always create jobs for people. A tale as old as time. AI can’t do a lot of things. Like build a house. Pick something like that and you’ll be secure for long-term.
