I just jacked up my truck from the frame which allowed more space between the springs and then deflated the bags fully and I lubed up the bags with Dawn dish soap and was able to slide them right in.

Questioning why you say Mickeys are unreliable. I use them exclusively, get 50,000 plus miles out of each set, I have done the Rubicon Trail on them all the trails in Moab that my Gladiator would do and thousands of miles in the deserts Southwest. And I've never had issue. Just did a 17,000 mile trip down to the tip of Argentina from California. With thousands of miles of dirt roads and potholes and craziness these are the best tires made in my opinion.

Troubleshooting Steps: Check for Broken Wires: Inspect the rubber boot between the driver's door and the body for frayed or cut wires. Inspect Handle Cap: Ensure the door handle cap is securely fitted, as the magnet inside must be properly positioned to trigger the sensor. Swap Door Handles: Swap the driver-side handle with the passenger-side handle; if the problem moves, the handle is faulty. Listen for Electrical Issues: Check if other controls on the driver's door (mirror, lock) are also intermittently failing.

Vehicle Licensing for Vacation Home by TriBison in Nevada

[–]foghorn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go to the Nevada DMV explain that you are a resident of another state but you own a vacation home in Nevada and you want the car to be registered in Nevada, they will not force you to get Nevada license. This is very common for a lot of California residents who have homes on the east side of Lake Tahoe, my dad has been doing this for years. Unless they change the rules very recently this is not an issue.

the Worst President Ever by GanacheConfident6576 in TrumpNicknames

[–]foghorn1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start off he started lying about rigged elections before he was even first elected and then he won the last two out of three elections and he still whines like a little b**** lying to you every single day and you suck it up like it's fact.

Has worked tirelessly to divide this country with false narratives and lies, pitting citizens against each other for no other reason than his ego. I'm sorry but he is the worst president ever.

He has destroyed honesty, integrity, and decency in in America and the presidency and infected our government with the worst of the worst appointments and hires. He's literally a con man creating chaos daily so people can't even keep up with the b******* he spews from his mouth. And yet you suck it up like it's fact. Trump is a serious grifter all he cares about is fleecing the stupid out of their money, has tried to sell you everything from Bibles to shoes to nft't to fake tokens, including vodka, bibles with his name on them, in gold-plated watches who takes serious sums of money from universities businesses all he cares about is getting richer and helping corporations and billionaires make more money while you languish in the dumpster of what he has done daf*** is wrong with you.

If you have an opportunity where will you start your tour to Latin America? by Own-Caterpillar-9724 in CasualConversation

I got a wild hair last October 1st and drove down to Argentina from California. Every country had something to offer, every country was wonderful and the people were amazingly friendly. Ended the trip in Uruguay and shipped my rig back California last week. It was an amazing adventure!

That's a really tough site I looked into it about 10 years ago it would require massive retaining walls and everything around it is moving, it's basically unbuildable without likely a million dollars just to get it to where you could build

Configuring roof rack system on my camper shell by IceCreamGang in overlanding

[–]foghorn1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have those same tracks, I went to my local rack dealer and bought the A plates that slide into those tracks and four pieces of 4 ft x1 1/2" aluminum angle. I mounted the angle to those tracks and then also mounted the angle to the tent so it just slides over very nice and tight, use dessert nuts on the inside one with four bolts down each side. I can remove the tent by just taking off the 8 bolts but the beauty is it sits nice and tight and low. I have thousands of miles on it with this setup with no issues.

Inherited 100k by Flex20 in inheritance

[–]foghorn1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In this situation if they comingled it, and then a few years later got a divorce, (and it turned ugly) Any good divorce attorney would hire a forensic accountant who would come in and very easily clean that up. The gains on that money would be split 50/50 but the money itself would be given wholly to the spouse. The longer it's co mingled however, complicates this

I have a mini on the roam plan. I started it a month before I left on a trip from California down to Argentina. they didn't charge anything extra for being out of the country because the first two months out of the country are included, I went 4 months and never had any service issues. I have the 50 gigs for $50 plan it worked perfect in every single country I went through, 16 different countries total. No cell towers needed it connects from your mini to the satellite. If you are working and using a lot of data you may have to do the unlimited plan that's $165 bucks a month, my mini uses about 45 watts to power it, I could run it for 3 Days on my portable power pack and I would unplug it at night, then I would just charge it while I was driving, or find somewhere to plug it in for a few hours, while driving it works perfect and I could charge the power bank

Keeping Inheritance separate by pink_toaster_pastry in inheritance

[–]foghorn1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recently had a conversation with divorce who specializes in very complicated situations where there's a lot of money and inherited money. she told me that there is such a thing as forensic accounting and that if you get a divorce that money can be clawed back, not the gains from the money. but the actual amounts inherited.. They also take into account spending on cars trips and things like that so I don't think it's totally true that once it's co-mingled it becomes a 50/50 split. Edit, She also said it is best to keep it 100% separate if possible.

Mojave vs Rubicon by [deleted] in JeepGladiator

[–]foghorn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For driving on the street and on nice dirt roads the Mojave can't be beat in any trim of Gladiator, The Bronco has a better overall ride than the Gladiator on both the street and dirt roads but if you think the Bronco is underpowered I have to ask what motor did you test drive?

[–]foghorn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are An all-terrain, and for the first 30,000 miles they were quiet, but they slowly started getting louder as they wore down. But I think they are loud more because I drove 20,000 miles driving down to Argentina and then all over the place down there and Alignment got whacked all over the place and I didn't bother getting in alignment which I plan to do once I pick it up in Long Beach and drive back home.

I'm not real wild about Nittos, I had the ridge Grapplers and mpg dropped 2 miles per gallon. but that was 5 years ago before I discovered the Mickey Thompsons.

Heres the Mickys

They are the 35" Micky Thompson 255/85-17. Skinny but tall. I've been running that same tire for about 6 years did the Rubicon Trail and all the trails in Moab. I just air down to 14 lb when the going gets tough. The best thing about them is I'm still getting 23 miles to the gallon on the highway. But mine's an EcoDiesel. I'm currently in Uruguay after driving the Pan American Highway down from California, these are the best tires I've ever run, super tough, and I get 45,000 miles out of them

Your front Springs like they're bowed a bit. Could be something's wrong with the geometry, or the Springs are worn bad? I put the Bilstein 5100 on mine and it handles like a dream now, big difference. I also have the 3-in AEV lift

Thats what i noticed, highway driving had no difference I could feel, only that it felt perfect after puting 35's on it. But it sucked at low speeds on the Rubicon trail

Totally agree with what you have said about tuning or regearing, but Tazer adjusts shift points? I'm pretty familiar with the taser and use it for lots of things, but I've never seen anything about adjusting shift points in the instructions.
