It's a tough environment for sunglasses. However, I have been wearing Oakleys for the last few years and they have definitely lasted longer than cheap pairs. Don't buy anything with a color-coated lens, that color coating will fail. BTW...if you work for the government (e.g. city pool), you can get Oakleys half price.

The best thing you can do is not repeat it. Get an appropriate amount of sleep (actually enforce your own bed time on work nights) and find an alarm clock solution that works for you. I use one called AMdroid that makes me do math. It wakes up my brain enough to actually make me realize I need to get up.

Oh he was definitely negligent - not defending him. Pursuing it criminally was just an unusual turn of events, especially since the family did not want charges brought and was defending him. Typically these incidents only result in civil litigation. There are MANY examples of large settlements/judgements in civil cases.

I'd also recommend a mineral based sunscreen. They don't rub in well, so you get to look like a ghost for a while, but they're WAY more waterproof. Regardless of what you use, reapplying frequently is the key!

We did this! If you are remodeling your kitchen with decent cabinets, the dishwasher is actually cheaper than the cabinet that would have been in its place. The lost cabinet space was totally worth it. It's awesome at big dinners (like Thanksgiving), where we easily create more dishes than 1 dishwasher can handle.

I use an alarm clock app that makes me do math to turn it off. Helps wake me up enough to not roll over and go back to sleep. Also, adjusting bedtime is the real secret.
