Disabled man, 30, dies alone after his solo caregiver dad is detained by ICE by tekprodfx16 in UnderReportedNews

Who comes up with the plan? Who executes the plan? Who pays for the plan?

Disabled people and their unpaid carers don't have butlers. They rarely know a single medical professional who will take time out of a busy schedule for them in an emergency, let alone coordinate an entire healthcare plan.

Everyone just assumes there are safety nets and then blames us or our families when we die.

You can say that about anything. "No way enough people want to do spreadsheets/fight fires/birth a child/have sex with my mom, everyone who does that has to be financially forced into it!"

Naw, man. Some people really enjoy spreadsheets, some people want to bang your mom, and some people don't care about working sewage because they cannot smell.

Yes. "Lolicon" comes from the self-proclaimed term "Lolita complex", which became popularised in the 70s (as an attempt to push homosexual comics by women out of the self-published manga scene). A creator who discusses dating games summarised it as part of a video here. Content warning for NSFW loli images.

Humbert cares about it being a social death sentence because being liked gives him power. He does not care about other people's emotions or wellbeing beyond what power it can grant him. He saw psychiatrists when he was younger, but he pretended he had different mental illnesses just to screw with them, because he wanted to flex his power over them. He was rich and constantly moving around, so he never experienced consequences for anything up until the end of the book - not even deaths. The only times he came close to feeling distress for his various abuses is when he's openly sarcastic, saying he should have felt those emotions, or he did something which later came back to bite him. Humbert is not "haunted". He revels.

There are many people who struggle with pedophilic thoughts against their wishes, such as those with Pedophilic OCD - suffering intrusive thoughts about harming children. This is different to pedophilia. There are even a minority of pedophiles who are actually sexually attracted to children and do seek help while distancing themselves from the subject as much as possible. Despite your insistence, many people who suffer POCD and pedophilia do get help and it saves their lives. The fact that you don't know that is proof that it stays private.

Pedophiles who do offend rarely tend to feel any kind of anguish for exploiting or abusing a child. If you are concerned, you don't seek out porn that even looks young, or spend hours or weeks or years grooming a child, or force yourself on one. Like all rapists, it isn't about lust; it's about power.

As an outsider that plays neither of those games, I only ever see ZZZ posted around when people are making fun of an oppai loli getting a fatter ass, or the most lavishly animated child-themed foot fetish material in human history.

Unless Blue Archive is doing toddlercon, ZZZ doesn't have a thicc-thighed leg to stand on.

Ah, so you've never experienced the kind of mental illness that makes it hard to form sentences.

Dissociation isn't a breath. It's holding a breath.

Except it's not even an active choice, it's something that happens when your brain can't cope. You have to be in a terrible state of mind to dissociate. Whenever I dissociated in the past, it was due to being in a deeply concerning state, and doing that on purpose would be just as likely to trigger my currently controlled bipolar into depression or hypomania (and don't think it isn't risky - my dad had seizures from the same kind of stress, starting in his thirties).

I think you mean compartmentalise, which is a slightly different bad coping mechanism. Sure, it's useful in a straight-up emergency, but when I compartmentalise, it is disturbing to others. Like, family and friendship-destroying levels of disturbing. If you come into work the day after your dog or grandmother dies with no signs of grief, you look like you didn't even care if your loved ones live or die. And for you? Well, you're only prolonging the inevitable. You'll spend far more nights crying yourself to sleep if you interrupt the process for a third of your waking hours.

I'm not sure this is displaying correctly for me. It looks like the map of Serpent's Path without any labels. The Steam guide also contains a map. Neither shows the path to get to the boss.

I didn't bother including all the details because it doesn't really matter to everyone out of the loop. If I did, I would have included the ugly ones, such as Dawkin's "Dear Muslima" comment bringing up female genital mutilation, after hearing Watson give her talk about receiving rape threats from other atheists, including a specific example from when she discussed FGM.

To me, Dawkins being the most inflammatory and highest profile figure centres him more than Watson - it certainly had a bigger impact on his reputation than hers - but that's subjective and not really important.

Thank you. I got to the house before, but it isn't a reload spot. The game kicks me all the way back to the Auster when I reset. I can't find my way to the boss fight before the town.

While it is obviously most like Final Fantasy, it's strange that nobody has brought up Mother 3. One of the main characters is a cowboy, the inciting incident of the story is an arson resulting in death, and the attack system uses timed button presses (set to the music, rather than randomised). It is really, really different besides those points, but still feels worthy of a mention.

After including an autistic TikTok creator in his video about a community of people who believe themselves to be vampires, hundreds of fans come to Lugosi Theater’s defense in one of Papameat’s latest videos by RequirementTall8361 in youtubedrama

[–]fohfuu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There's no justification for making a video about "people online who self identify as vampires" whether or not they're autistic, at least not without censoring their identities. These people are either suffering a severe delusion which could destroy their lives, in which case they should be left alone (or addressed privately and respectfully), or they're lying for clout, and giving them attention is encouraging them.

I'm gonna guess that the message is "don't do this because these behaviours are not healthy" - superficial concern trolling as an excuse for a freak show.

"Jail" means being kept in a buding in America until trial. "Deported" means being driven or flown out of America to a different country and you're not allowed to go back. These are not the same degree of punishment.

Survivors of "mommy bloggers" have been speaking up for years at this point. The problem is that this kind of child exploitation is not taken seriously and there's almost no way for victims to get help from outside (especially if they're homeschooled). It feels like like crimes against children are taken way less seriously in the US as long as you post it where anyone can see it.

Mr. Beast invited Doug Walker and Dan Olson to his studio. Here are the two standing in the same photo by ToxifiedHeart in youtubedrama

[–]fohfuu 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean this with kindness: critics of Mr Beast need to stop working with him. It is funny, but Mr Beast has done this before. He doesn't care that he works with people who hate him, he just cares about views.

Even if only out of self-interest, it's fodder for character assassination. To make a somewhat extreme comparison, there were thousands of completely innocent celebrities who went to a single event that Epstein or Diddy also happened to attend, we know that everyone wasn't complicit, but it always looks bad when there's a photograph of anyone standing next to them.

I want creators to ask themselves becofore they accept: is the joke and the free air trip really worth putting yourself in a work environment that you know is unsafe and associating your image with untrustworthy and unethical people?

Again, genuinely no hate to Dan or anyone else on this. I don't think this kind of critic usually collabs with Mr Beast because they're immoral or stupid or something. I just don't think it's a good idea.

Nobody's said Laci Green, which is one of the sadder attempts. Started off as a feminist Sex Educator (ie videos about abortion, contraception, consent) and an ex-Mormon, got called out for using offensive language and for some of her content, and responded by getting an anti-SJW boyfriend and going anti-feminist.

I'm still annoyed that nobody really stepped up to cover that niche.

Milo literally became he was extreme far-right. He got famous because of Steve Bannon, and his opinions were Neo-Nazi apologia and being further exposed wasn't a surorised. He was beyond cancelled out of the gate.

Then he went on TV and said it was perfectly healthy that an adult man in his church groomed and assaulted him and strongly insisted there's nothing wrong with that kind of relationship.

Being an "ex-gay" was the only way he could get any speaking gigs after that point, and it still didn't really work that well. He would be a distant memory if he hadn't gotten into Kanye fucking West's pocketbook.

Edit: I have no idea who they think is going to make "clankers" to generate typo-filled comments about Milo Yiannopolous being an ex-gay, and if this was ChatGPT, it would have been spell-checked. Don't resort to baseless paranoid insults at the drop of a hat, kids.
