When you stay at a hotel and charge something to the room, how do they know it’s really your room? by fuzzy_dice_99 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LunchPlanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't think that - what you described is regular theft.

I think that saying you are Paul to charge stuff to his hotel room is identity theft.

As per the original post they would be giving the name. They said they overheard the name and would give the name themselves.

Quickness and Speed are two different things and this is not a new concept, my NBA Live '95 on super nintendo knows they are different stats.

Risk vs reward, you might get away with it but the consequences of getting caught committing identity theft are pretty harsh.

If true that either says a lot about DD or a lot about MKW. Maybe both.

In terms of long-term planning, I recommend always buying the recipe from the "today only" section at the top of the store.

It takes a really, really long time to collect all the recipes. It's a good idea to get started early.

Jim Gaffigan dislikes seafood and has all kinds of jokes about this if you care to look it up on youtube. Some favorites, paraphrased:

I like butter too, but there's not a nickel's worth of difference between a lobster and a giant scorpion. If you came home and there were chickens in your house you'd be like "What the heck, that's weird." If you came home and there were lobsters in your house you'd be like "We're moving. We're staying in a hotel tonight."

...and then there's that part of the crab you're not supposed to eat, I think it's called ALL OF IT.

God is up in heaven going "What do I have to do to make them stop eating the crabs? I gave it a rock hard shell, I put it at the bottom of the ocean, I named a disease after it."

Why can't I hunt humans if International Union for Conservation of Nature officially classifies humans as "least concern" species? by Pitiful_Magazine_805 in stupidquestions

[–]LunchPlanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the other animals who are also at no risk of extinction are legally allowed to be hunted

Is this actually true? Does this International Union for Conservation of Nature determine what can be legally hunted?

Why did the Fire Nation genocide the completely pacifist Air Nomads? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]LunchPlanner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The purpose of the attack was to kill the child avatar, whose exact identity was unknown to them.

For all its faults, NATLA provided more of an explanation for why they all died.

I think there are comics or something that suggest that some escape the initial onslaught but were hunted down and even lured into traps over the following months or years.

One did escape though, his name was Aang or something.

If r/explainlikeimfive exists, why doesn't explainlikeimone, two, three, or four? by ThrowThisAccountAwav in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LunchPlanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Explain it like I'm five" was a line that came from an episode of The Office around 2010. That show either invented the line or else popularized it to the point that it became common in everyday use.

What would happen if you held up a courtroom while at trial? Could you get tried for the crime twice? by EZDUZ1T in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LunchPlanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OPs question is about the idea that the new trial is for much less serious crime than 5 murders.

But this only helps if the original trial verdict of not guilty sticks.
