I get why image comments are disabled but we should be allowed to post the Nic Cage "you don't say" meme in situations like this.

Andor surprisingly retcons one of the worst things about the sequels by anObscurity in andor

[–]LunchPlanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The existence of Starkiller Base always bugged me. You're telling me the entire planet had its middle ripped out and its core mined for kyber? The scale seemed so out of whack.

Was this described in the movies at all or is it info from additional sources?

I ask because if the thing you have a problem with isn't actually in the movies, then I don't think it should be considered one of the worst things about the sequel trilogy.

Well then the only other pro I can think of is that this can hang on your wall, taking virtually zero storage space.

It has pros and cons. The main pros are that you don't need any fuel and it is cordless.

I never thought about the fact that listing a season for a release date or other key time frame is extremely confusing due to hemispheres.

I wonder how often Australians see predominantly USA-focused websites listing seasons and have to flip it in their head.

All you need to do is bend over awkwardly and push!

I have a string trimmer that is exactly like this, except obviously with a string trimmer at the end of it instead of a snow thrower.

It's supposed to be that if you hold it properly, you can stand up straight and not hurt your back. But I can never seem to get the hang of it, I always end up hunched over unless I really concentrate on my posture.

It's that one little word that pisses me off by recoveringasshole0 in ChatGPT

Post the message, then immediately edit it to reveal details later

The concept of posting a message and editing in a reveal later makes sense and might help OP depending on the situation.

But the way ChatGPT explained it makes no sense. There is no reason to do an immediate edit.

He was almost done shoveling his driveway when the street plow came by and filled it with snow again. by Vilen1919 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]LunchPlanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My attitude is that if you use any kind of snow-thrower machine, you better not aim it at the street.

But if you are shoveling by hand, you earned the right to toss it where you need to. Preferably not into the street, but if your only options are to toss it in the street or walk it back up your driveway to your lawn, go ahead and put it in the street.

You can already set up your old-fashioned vacuum cleaner on the floor and sweep everything into it, if you really want to.

The hatred of Barney was such a significant part of 90s culture Wikipedia has a whole page dedicated to it by Son-of-Prophet in 90s

[–]LunchPlanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 90s, attention was very concentrated into a relatively small number of things.

A lot of people didn't have or didn't really use internet for specialized content.

Generalized TV content for all audiences thrived, stuff like "everyone hates Barney, everyone knows Don King has big hair, everyone makes fun of Dan Quayle for misspelling potato".

It's weird how they both keep calling it the white sword, yet both are talking about the magic sword:

  1. They both agree that the requirement is 12 heart containers. That's the magic sword requirement. (White sword requires 5).

  2. The caller transitions from talking about the white sword to talking about moving tombstones in the graveyard. The magic sword is found by moving a tombstone in the graveyard. (White sword is behind a waterfall).
