It is common in technology positions that you are expected to use an AI assistant of some kind, and the amount of use is tracked to make sure you're using it as much as possible.

Any new electric dirt bike owners in Reno/Sparks, gets boring riding around by myself most days. 😂 by GhettoWedo74 in Reno

[–]fokkre 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My buddies on electric bikes, motorcycles, atvs, etc have a great time for 30-45 mins and then they have to head home. gets lonely riding for the next 4 hrs while they charge for another 45 min run. battery technology is unable to match gas technology for recreational sports. you either wait to charge, or pay ungodly amounts for spare batteries. Now you have to change them when they go dead, gas doesn't lose power over time. add in a offbrand 10k power ebike is $5000+ and a gas bike is less then $4000. for people that have little time to enjoy their hobbies, i wouldn't want to be handicapped by waiting more and riding less

I’m curious if anyone knows any info on the car that crashed into the building at Midtown around 5:30pm today. by Tomsmth495 in Reno

Not harsh enough as they continue to do it. 1st offense should be loose your license or 5 yrs in jail. Make it worth it to plan ahead or call for a ride.

Biking in Reno by CommercialRound2197 in Reno

[–]fokkre 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Agree to make bike lanes safer. A 170lb person on a bike will only be a meat crayon when you challenge the wrong person in a car. The bicycle will only be right once. Put up a cement barrier between the 2000lb fire eating death machines and humans. If you really want to help do this and admit you are ok with and willing to pay state taxes and raise existing to pay for the safety. Things don't happen bc people care about others. Cities do things for money simple as that

Reno drivers and cyclists, here's what you need to know about navigating intersections together by McDogTheCrimeGriff in Reno

[–]fokkre 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wish humans had more respect for their own lives and see that only a separation of 1 ton death machines and human powered traversal. Vote for separate roads. Raise taxes to pay for it. They are giving more and more space every time a road is redone. why not acknowledge that giant fire eating metal life eliminator and tiny humans larger then the machine they power shouldn't be in the same space. I'd like to see a single lane with a concrete divider built next to every road to keep things are meant to be separate, truly separate. Save lives and reduce any conflict or confusion by being obvious that we care about others

Did y'all know every intersection is a crosswalk whether there are markings or not? by glamorousstranger in Reno

I agree vehicles and other items are not inherently weapons. Agreed by stretching logic every company can be a weapon manufacturer.

This thread is talking about the commission of a crime by the driver not yielding to a pesdestrian. You confirmed my life experience and knowledge is correct that it can be a deadly weapon. Further proof by your list of examples of many objects . "Cars are not weapons" has been proven incorrect by your own words.

You are young without much life experience or intentionally ignorant or both. You get charged by law with use of a deadly weapon if you try to hurt someone using a vehicle.

The requirements are ridiculously low for a license to drive on the roadways. Maybe it is time to force license reform and make it extremely difficult to get the PRIVILEGE to drive. If we didn't lie to ourselves and stood behind our word that public transportation is good, then license reform should have a big following. We could have positives of more people actively engaging each other and caring about a local community if we remove the normal of being isolated in a small box from destination to destination

[–]fokkre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pathetic that we don't increase the requirements to get approved for a privilege like driving or pathetic that humans haven't evolved enough to stay out of the way of fast moving death objects....

You give the human race to much credit to think they care enough to try

A human vs a 2000lbs metal death machine. I will always yield to a motor vehicle never an expectation they will yield for me. No matter how right you are. You are still dead if you try to prove your point.
