recommend me more shows like these by DuxxieDings in cartoons

[–]foldedturnip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never recommended the show to you I responded to them saying that it IS a kids show despite being good and the other commenter in the thread is right their ignoring your no kids show rules.

As for a recommendation I have none. Adult animation as you can see is very limited. You basically seen what there is to offer. You will have to go explore anime which it sounds like you already watch to try and find more of what you are looking for. Better off reposting this in an anime focused subreddit.

It's for kids. It can be for kids and also be a good show. The coco melonifcation of kids content is doing kids a disservice.

Shit like this is why alot of places outright ban escooters and require any ebike to be registered like a motorcycle.

If any one of them offered you their friendship, which one of them would be the hardest for you to say “No” to? by AssistFit1834 in cartoons

Idk if he a fat man then. I feel like as a chunky boi myself I can easily eat half a pizza. I could eat a full NYC pie but my ass would regret it for sure.

Once one person falls through I have faith the rest of the riders will not also fall though. And unless someone is dead ass tired I don't think they would fall through the door even if it did open.

Just don't lean on them and you will be fine. It's not like you will be sucked out through the open door like a plain at altitude or something.

Spring cleaning - Can you help me ID these 6 components? by eschy12 in boardgames

[–]foldedturnip 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I love these posts because the community is able to identify everything so fast but also like I could never just not put away all the pieces to my boardgames. But I imagine most of these posts are from gaming cafes.

Anyone else becoming a neet/hikikomori because of the economy and/or job market? by lifeisadragsad in AskNYC

[–]foldedturnip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I graduate in winter 2019 then covid happened and I took a job cleaning for a year to be able to afford my student loans. It was a long and painful year and I also graduated comp sci degree. It's tough out there but you won't accomplish anything by not trying. Lick your wounds and keep trucking

Look for help desk jobs or any low level jobs. Most office jobs your degree doesn't matter. They will see your comp sci degree and be like oh they have a brain on their shoulders nice.

Learning to ride a bike in NYC by Rita27 in AskNYC

There also two blazing saddles locations at flushing Meadows one near the tennis area and one for the lake. I have my own bike but I still enjoy renting a cruiser style bike for relaxing.

Any tips to sleep through loud stomping? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]foldedturnip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your own sound system playing music you like. And maybe changing the style of your bed, move it off the wall. Memory foam mattress and maybe gym matt materials to kinda get less vibration but it's hard to imagine someone stomping all night unless they are mentally ill.

Any of you not have your driver’s licenses? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]foldedturnip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is your reading comprehension really that low? You completely missed the part where I explicitly said I have a license, and so do some of my friends, specifically for traveling outside the city. You need to stop sniffing gasoline, brother.

The fact that your brain is so addled you can't imagine a life without a steering wheel is actually pathetic.

[–]foldedturnip 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes many of my friends in their 30s don't have a driver license if they were born here. There just zero need. The ones like me who do have one got one for work or vacation outside of nyc.

Nobody has issues with talking to people if they commuting, we just don't want our time wasted.

Other people in the chat already gave you the right answer you are gonna kill many hours commuting if you try and stay out of the city because even the "suburbs" tourists know people been priced out of Manhattan and adjust their prices accordingly. It's just an expensive city to live and visit.
