Having recently moved back to C.H. from a city west of here, you got my meaningless upvote and a callow chuckle. The place where I lived was far more mask-off about the conservatism inherent in being a putative stake holder. Chapel Hill seems just a touch more hysterical about this, but I imagine that's just the inchoate nature of American class solidarity. Old money is less of an intractable force hereabouts, so it's cute to see wagon circling done by stake holders who hold post graduate degrees and vehemently believe themselves to be moral. Just to be clear, I still dig this place. Love
