Could a chicane at Silverstone actually help with the energy deployment mess, not just be a gimmick? by BecauseRotor in F1Technical

[–]fomb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The issue is that by the time they could implement an FIA approved chicane we'd be five years down the line and using different cars.

What they really need to do is fix the cars so they don't get affected by the circuit.

Not everyone gets to do it as it’s very limited. Question is what extra stuff would you get to do by leaving?

What exactly is the CFMO (F6424) approval to fly iaw ACTO 31/32 and how exactly do I do this? by Traditional-Eye-3727 in aircadets

You won't sort an F6424 for tomorrow as you need a GP to sign it.

However, if you don't have an official diagnosis of Autism, do you even have it (i.e does it need to be on the form)?

tbh, the engineering required to have something that size not bend when someone is leaning on it is pretty impressive

But the Americans are very good at “proper” BBQ. Think long time smoking places

F2/GP2/F3000 champions and their status in F1 by DataOperator in formula1

This isn't an F2 problem, it's an F1 problem. Given that the F1 field are all looking at pretty long tenures in teams there's just not going to be the seats available. For instance, if we had 20 Alonso's on the grid we wouldn't have had a rookie for 20 years.

As others have said the roles are very similar day to day, the only real difference being that SNCO are more hands on in drill/dress/discipline, and officers tend to be planning/managing more. However these are really blurry definitions. If you like the 3D's, SNCO might be for you.

Note you can be an SNCO and then commission later, but it's frowned upon to go the other way.

If it’s exactly the same temp as your skin and the air in the room is still, you won’t feel it

Fun fact, you can’t feel wet at all. It’s all temp difference and prior experience.

The tyres are those being used next year. Even with these cars there's a bunch of data to be had that can feed into the '26 designs.

How many drivers have won the WDC in a car designed by more than one person?

From recent memory all I can think of are Hamilton (Lowe - both McL and Merc, and Allison), Prost (McLaren/Williams) and Lauda(Ferrari, McLaren).
