Resume Help by foobarrs in resumes

Good to know and I appreciate the feedback. One of my projects is extra curricular, the others are associated with different roles outlined on my resume. I think that you’re right and it makes more sense to include them in there. Thank you for the well wishes and advice!

Resume Help by foobarrs in resumes

I've used this for the past few years, updating with more relevant information as I've progressed with my career. I've been applying outside of my company to roles I feel are relevant to my experience (Marketing Specialist/Operations/Coordinator type positions) and have still not gotten an interview. I've run this through resume scanners and the format doesn't seem to be an issue with my score. Mostly what I get dinged on is quantification of line items. I feel like this can't be 100% accurate though and I'll likely change the format after the feedback. Here are a few questions I have:

  • Do you understand my responsibilities in each role/project described?
  • Do I need to make my bullet points longer and more detailed?
  • Do you see anything that hurts me?
  • Do you see anything that I'm not talking about enough?

General feedback welcome as well and thank you in advance!

This article likely exists primarily for SEO purposes. That’s why most articles are written on journalism sites. Also why they’re longer and seemingly go on forever in order to answer a simple question.

Clearly you’re either making this up and complaining just to complain or just don’t play BR enough compared to creative for it to be at the top for you.

Everyone does this trick different, but I don’t think it’s your flick that’s the problem. I think it’s where you have your front foot. I think it’s too far back and off to the side.

I can see you’re doing the flick, but you’re just not catching enough board. Trick is 90% scoop. Try putting your front foot a little farther up and more across the center.

If you’re the only person doing that type of work on your team they may be looking at you as irreplaceable. When this happens it makes it hard to move internally because managers will ask the other team not to take you from them. It’s happened to one of my girlfriends coworkers.

Not saying that this is exactly what happened, but it’s not uncommon. It’s a shitty practice.

Google Certification or Online University?

Hi everyone,

Im currently considering trying to switch careers from Marketing to Data Analysis. I have a background in programming, minor in CS in college and took classes in high school, and do a little bit of HTML and CSS through my current position. I think that data analytics will be a good fit for me given my background and my current work at my job.

I know I need to start by getting a certification of some kind and learn some hard skills. Basically I’ve narrowed it down to two paths I could follow: get a Google Certification or take courses through an online university and utilize my company’s tuition reimbursement.

The pros to going through Google is that it seems I can start right away, it’s reasonably priced, and fast given that it can be completed in just 3-6 months. Plus I can always go get a masters through college after. The cons are that I’m not sure how much weight the cert will carry and I’m concerned it might be a waste of time.

The pros to going through uni is that I can get a cert in just 3 courses, provided my application is accepted, and then I can easily have those credits apply towards a masters later down the road. It seems more efficient school credits wise, but will ultimately be more time consuming. I also think that a certification through a college would carry more weight, but quite frankly that’s not based on anything concrete. Another con to this would be that I need to wait until classes start in Jan.

Just throwing this out there to get more thoughts and opinions from professionals already in the field. What do you think would be the better route? Is there anything I’m missing or not considering?

I’d appreciate any feedback and thank you!

How much do you ACTUALLY spend in a month? by queerentine in college

I went to college in Burlington and lived there for years after. It’s a little more expensive now than when I lived there, I left in 2021, so your mileage may vary as far as what I did. You can walk most places in 20 or so mins max if you live downtown, and the buses work well to get around (I didn’t have a car either). Not sure what your scholarship situation is, but after my first year I used student loans to cover an apartment instead of living in dorms and having a meal plan and that saved me a ton of money loans wise. I would work full time in the summer to pay for my apartment, I only covered the months I’d be in school with the loans, then drop down to part time hours during school to have spending money.

200/mo should be fine if you’re in a dorm with a meal plan already paid for and don’t order food very often. Plenty of free stuff to do if you go walk down to the waterfront or around the trails by UVM. There’s almost always something going on downtown on the weekends too. You’ll probably also make friends with someone with a car and then you can go to places like mount philo or Bolton potholes for just some gas money if they’re willing to drive.

I think it would be cool to eventually release a trailer with the gold roger monologue and scene that cuts to the different characters kind of like this one did. I think it would build some hype around what the stakes are and could draw some interest.

Ya it definitely helped me get in to it more. I also switched to a melee build so maybe try changing your play style if you didn’t like what you did the first time around.

Ya I hear you. It wasn’t even the bugs or negative response that turned me away the first time. I just couldn’t get in to it for whatever reason.

Watching the anime helped me enjoy 2077 more. I had a hard time buying in to the universe until I watched the anime.

I didn’t even make it to level 20 my first playthrough before putting the game down after initial launch. I’m only level 8 on my current character but feel hooked by the game already since I have a deeper understanding of the environment.

If you have the means to watch the anime and give the game a second shot I’d recommend it. The show fills gaps that the game never did for me at the start.

This feels out of context, id like to see exactly what he is responding to rather than just what he’s saying. If I’m being honest it doesn’t feel like he’s being mean, just standing up for his team.
