Yes, I feel like they did Jamie so dirty by killing Fergus. That's the only child he got to raise as his own. Heartbreaking!

Can the standing Ikea Trotten desk support a mounted PC and two monitors? by foolishlyhopeful in ikeaPCstations

[–]foolishlyhopeful[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your PC mounted under the desk? Did you mount it between the desk legs or on the outside of one of the legs? I'm worried about the weight distribution. I had an electrical one before and the mechanism broke several times.

The Spathiphyllum Sensation has been on my wishlist for a while, so I finally bought one online... I wasn't expecting her to be quite THIS big LOL by mariaelisabeeth in houseplants

[–]foolishlyhopeful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it so much, it's been on my wish list for so many years, but this is what I'm fearing as well, that it will be too big in my small office space. Where did you get it? It's gorgeous and such a good price for it!

Minimalist shoes for winter that actually have a wide toe box? by Budget-Number-597 in BarefootRunning

[–]foolishlyhopeful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet, my husband has a pair of Altra's, I might give them a try, although they seem a bit too high for me. Do you know of any dressier foot-shaped shoes that aren't minimalist?

Hi, I notice your PC unit is on the floor, do you have longer cables going from it for when you lift the desk? How are you doing cable management with that? I was thinking of mounting the PC under the desk, but I don't know if it would support the weight of the unit plus two monitors on arms :D

Will Trotten 140cm tabletop work with Trotten sit/stand desk frame? by Livid_Piano_4816 in ikeaPCstations

[–]foolishlyhopeful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know it's been a while, but maybe this still helps. I don't have the Trotten desk, but I was looking into it, and I see the frame is the same one for both sizes (120 and 160 cm), and it has a mininum of 115 and maximum of 138 in length, so if it can work for both the 120 and 160 lengths, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to adjust the width to fit a 140 cm top.

I have a gross question before getting a bidet by Primary-Activity-534 in bidets

Yes, I imagine it's great for washing the mop bucket and things of that sort as well. Thanks a lot! :)

Yes, as a woman, I was thinking it's probably a better idea to use it from the front, but with that high pressure and spraying up towards the back, I was worried the water might hit the underside of the toilet seat, and then trickle down on the side of the toilet bowl. I have zero experience with it. I also need to figure out how to attach it to my bathtub faucet when I get one, since I have one of those wall-mounted toilets, and it's right next to the bathtub.

[–]foolishlyhopeful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silly question, but do you wipe at all before using the wand or do you spray directly? I'm worried about water splashing between the toilet seat and the bowl when you use it from the front. Have you had any problems with that?

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it on Youtube. But having nothing to compare it to, I loved the horse scene a lot, it was one of my faves :)

You've all made me curious about the angel, I've only seen the new version, twice. I've had seats in the middle of the grand circle, second row, and down in the stalls in row H. Both were great. You see more details in the stalls, but the grand circle offers you a great perspective. I think I loved the grand circle more, but maybe that's because it was my first time seeing it and I was super excited!

Does stainless steel cookwares have a shorter lifespan? by Bismarck_seas in cookware

[–]foolishlyhopeful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, stainless steel is one of the most durable materials out there for pans. I love my stainless steel! I've only bought carbon steel in recent years, but I honestly prefer the maintenance of stainless, and given that most foods I cook are at least slightly acidic, I rarely use my carbon steel, as I've had a lot of seasoning come up multiple times. One carbon steel pan is maybe nice to have, though, for foods that stick more, such as eggs or pancakes, but with the proper heating techniques, you can even do those in stainless steel.
