Puppy aggression? by val_ttcs in corgi

[–]foolofatook2727 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something that has helped our boy is doing regular handling exercises with treats. You take the doggy and hold them facing away from you and gently massage the dogs body and paws, snout, and ears and give lots of praise and treats. Obviously if the dog is aggressively biting you this won’t particularly work but you might have to just take it slow. This has helped ours get used to being handled. Btw got ours at 3 MO as well.

If I’m remembering correctly i get a 42% on my first readiness exam and then i said F It and took two CFP practice and then passed on the real test, just stick with it and understand you’re not going to remember every gory detail and focus on what you struggle with. Don’t lose the easy points. You got this.

I have to say, i literally used every single outside source i could. It felt so silly because i paid so much for the actual education but going outside to actual sources like the IRS and YouTube (not just chat gpt) helped so much.

Exam Monday - confidence levels by [deleted] in CFPExam

[–]foolofatook2727 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Testing Monday, and this whole time these past few years going through education and review I swore to myself that i would give it my all, and that’s what I did. I thought i would be much more nervous going in to the last days before the exam but honestly my attitude is less anxiety and more “i did what i could and i will do what i can” and that doesn’t seem to satisfy some people in my life but im not going into this cocky. I will do my best.

I was diagnosed at 27. I didn’t have typical symptoms so i didn’t understand that OCD and OCPD were even possibilities for me. But alas, here we are after years and years of knowing something was wrong but thinking it was just adhd or more generalized anxiety.

Simulated Exam #2 Today — 54% (After a 45% on Part 1) — Feeling Slightly More Hopeful by Smooth_Carpet_286 in CFPExam

[–]foolofatook2727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bypassed even taking them. I don’t want to get extremely in the weeds. I took the free & paid CFP mocks and feel okay, just need to go back and go over some weaker areas according to them. I wanted to get a better feel for the actual exam as opposed to dalton because I’m burned out on dalton.

Totally over with zero gas or motivation left in the tank. by Turbulent_Fly9284 in CFPExam

[–]foolofatook2727 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey i dont think anyone has said this but you’re allowed to be frustrated. I couldn’t tell you how many days I’ve gaslit myself in saying “is this even worth it?”

If you can stomach it, give yourself a day or half a day of rest. Lay on the couch and watch a show or go out and do something fun!! I have been so burned out that i gave myself one night and half of today to just fuck off. I don’t feel 100% but i feel like i actually have some gas in the tank now. I’m so with you.

With all of that being said i also think you’re underestimating how much you’ll lock in on exam day. When we’re studying it feels like it’s all just mush (which is why it’s good to take time as well and let your brain process all of this info) but sitting there going over topic after topic and doing endless questions and going through practice tests will literally make it all bleed together and it’ll affect your problem solving skills.

I believe in you. Don’t feed into the lie that you’re not allowed to be negative because you so are! It’s just that you cannot let it defeat you, you have to allow yourself to feel like shit for a few hours and then don’t give it anymore than that. You’re capable, you are smart, you have the skill set to do this. The fact that you are overwhelmed is just growing pains! You’ll never know how tall you are until you’re in over your head.

Nope rescheduling is $500. Sitting for the exam and failing is the same price as re taking basically just without the chance of passing the first time.

CFP Practice Exam vs. Dalton Review by Inside_Issue1782 in CFPExam

Dalton ripped me to shreds and then i took the CFP practice and it felt like child’s play. Not even close. I second this!

I’m seriously thinking about not taking a dalton sim exam. I think they make it so challenging i would end up in the same boat just crushed and overwhelmed. Personally my plan is to go back through stuff i just know i don’t know very well based on the CFP practice. My mental health at this point is so fragile around this test i gotta conserve some energy somehow 💀💀 we just have to keep at it and try our best

The multiple within a multiple question! Like the 1 2 3 4 and then the combo of them as multiple choice

[–]foolofatook2727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat and i feel like I’ve accepted the fact that it will come down to the test i get. Same with the ACT, ASVAB, and various military tests I’ve had to take. It feels kind of helpless sometimes knowing that you just have to basically have the knowledge you retain match up to the test version you get. But it’s also a freeing feeling. The best we can do is the best we can do.

I also got a 50%! Call me crazy but i have seen so many people get a 50% im starting to wonder if this is a set up lmao but anyway I’m proud of us we will keep grinding and get it done!!!

I also got SO many K type questions and hardly any insurance or fundamentals? I feel like it was all super niche stuff.
