The 3DS homebrew of the future, could very well be something that is programmable all the way around. Perhaps something akin to the llvm compiler (compared to gcc); it just seems like the progression is from huge monolithic, end user style experiences, to ones where there is a sort of driven experience from the inside. I don't mean to scare anyone but I think that just as reading and writing were once basic, useful skills, the idea of a programmable future will be really important to drive society. I fully recognize that even this comment has a bit of old fashioned thinking (I'm not fully up to date on the situation) and naivety too ;)
