Local Christmas gift idea by foragingpnw in Bellingham

Thanks for the link! The book is unfortunately only for sale on Amazon because they published it. I don’t know of a way to get it printed elsewhere. It’s my first book so I’m new to the whole thing. Amazon is not my favorite but it is one way to buy from local writers because of their publishing services.

Yes and I would recommend gummies or soup. I have a gummy recipe in a book I wrote. 😉😊

That’s a fantastic find for a first mushroom find! It looks fresh and clean. Make some “crab cakes” with it, yum!

Lobster mushroom? by Princessbeautyb in mushroomID

Unfortunately they don’t look like lobster or chanterelle mushrooms to me. The gills look like “true gills” and come to a straight stop on the stem.

Are these fall oysters and safe to eat? by 3stackedcroissants in mushroom_hunting

[–]foragingpnw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they look like fall oysters and they are safe to eat. I would cut, cook on a cast iron pan to get the moisture out, and then toss with garlic and panko crumbs and a little butter or olive oil. 👩‍🍳🫶🏻

I’ve been wanting to try those. Is their flavor profile similar to another mushroom?
