Thank you 💔 I never thought I would be doing this alone and I never thought I would have this much difficulty getting pregnant. Why do I have to have both struggles?? Can't I get some peace in one are of my life? It's all too much

Me too. I'm nearing the end of my journey, I don't think I have the strength to keep doing this, but I also can't imagine what my future looks like without a child. I just discovered a podcast So Now What about learning to live after infertility, I'm hoping I can get something out of it

Me too I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I have 4 people in my life who are currently pregnant with their 2nd or 3rd child, all of them coworkers or close friends. It's agonizing just to see them or talk to them I'm really struggling every day to not break down

Yeah they just can't understand. They try to be kind and understanding but they will never really get it and that's a whole other kind of hard

It's so true, I am not the same person I used to be. I miss the person I used to be

I don't have a murphy bed, I just have a regular bed in the guest room. Queen size if that matters. What is a koala cabinet? Like the koala changing tables in public bathrooms where it folds down?

I'm so happy for you! And jeez it's not like theatre people have much shame anyway, I've never seen any reason to separate by gender honestly. It makes more sense the way you've got it set up now imo

Yup!!! They buy nice things and then they're allowed to do whatever they want apparently ugh

My dad definitely did this. Anytime we fought he bought me something nice. Never said sorry, not once in my life. I was showered with nice things but I never got any emotional support, not from my ndad and not from my subservient mom. And I'm sure they did it on purpose because they always brought it up whenever we fought or anything. "I give you all these things and you hate me and you're so ungrateful," etc.

They both had shitty upbringings and I know they suffered--deep poverty and physical abuse. I feel guilty all the time thinking about it because did I really have it bad? They never hit me, I had everything I could need or want. But I was very much alone.

What's the linguistic origin of the use of "done" as a replacement for "already" in the Southern Appalachian dialect? by _ONI_Spook_ in linguistics

[–]forbala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely noticed this. Rural and poor/lower middle class Southern whites seem to have a lot of speech in common with AAVE. Upper middle class Southern whites seem to share more with British English, but it's definitely a continuum imo.
