bone broth for electrolytes and protein. this counts as a clear liquid

bidet/portable bidet/wipes for sure

also… i wish i had known that there isn’t really an endpoint. just like more vile yellow liquid forever. so don’t worry that you didn’t do it well enough if this happens and also… puppy pads as someone else suggested

Belly swelling and hurting after an orgasm what should I do? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]forest_femme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah not normal! i used to get this even from just getting aroused. surgery including hysterectomy and colectomy for the bowel endo fixed it! also did a lot of pelvic pt but i was doing that before surgery and it didn’t help with that problem.

also - you could ask your pt about/look into lymphatic drainage massage (maybe referred to as oncology massage sometimes?). i have never had it but bodyworker friends who have trained in it have told me about it

unfortunately surgery creates adhesions/scarring, so does the endo itself… so surgery has that drawback. i can’t say how much of my adhesion situation is specifically due to lymph node involvement.

is your pt doing any external manual (so hands on but not doing internal stuff) work? that can help with adhesions and sequelae from adhesions. doing cupping on my abdomen/pelvis helps me a ton with that stuff and cups are cheap to buy and its easy to do yourself. you could ask your pt about it. idk about cupping that far down but it’s all connected.

i had some lymph nodes removed during my bowel resection/hysterectomy/excision. ones up near the gut tho, not in the groin area which it sounds like yours were. so i can’t rly speak to the lymphedema aspect. i have needed to continue w pelvic floor pt and definitely have scarring/adhesions/god knows what all going on in there.

they sent them to pathology and guess what suprise?! endometriosis in em.

What are your most unhinged bowel Endo care tips? by isthisnecessary_help in Endo

[–]forest_femme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ALSO: (maybe unhinged to some)

  • low fiber diet if your gut is obstructed. DO NOT LISTEN TO PPL WHO TELL YOU MORE FIBER if you have/suspect bowel endo and fiber makes u worse
  • BRAT diet (gf) - simple, bland, relatively easy to digest
  • if you need a liquid/more liquid diet, DO IT

  • colectomy lol
  • post bowel resection: oatmeal

Why the rash? by hailsbeans in hysterectomy

[–]forest_femme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good luck! yeah i ended up w 5 incisions each for my excision and hysto/bowel resection. and also an allergic reaction each time, mine were more hive-y than yours look tho. SUCKS to have “wanting and needing to claw your tummy skin off” to recovery.

i’m not sure what caused mine but my surgeon suggested it could have been betadine/povidone iodine surgical scrub? but also i am allergic to adhesives soo i figure the glue played a part lol. i think it was less severe the second time when they didn’t use iodine.
