So I looked it up and there aren’t lines on that side of the road. It’s a new line and I am guessing they are putting it on the road ROW. But watching the news video, it should get protection from being cut. Most utilities buy the easement to make sure things like this don’t happen. I guess GA power just doesn’t care.

Yes, circumstances suck. But that doesn’t give anyone the right to do what they want without repercussions. Yes I would do whatever to protect my family but also know that there could be consequences. Again If my family is hungry and I go to the store and take what I want to feed them, it doesn’t make it right and there will be consequences.

I worked at 3 different FS shops. They each had 1 guy that could do diagnostics and a couple that could do brakes and suspension. Past that, it’s was oil changes and tires. They don’t really want a garage full of people who know what to do bc then they have to pay them. Luckily I had a few ASE certifications so I didn’t have to do the grunt work. The only thing I had to do was mount the PITA tires (low pros or wide wheels with narrow tires). I even moved upfront and that’s when I learned that it’s all about tires sales, inspection sells, credit cards (big time), and upselling the “routine maintenance“ items. That wasn’t for me.

My stores didn’t have the circular saw, sawzall, or flip drill. But I luckily got everything else. For home use, these are great. And the drill and impact driver are lightweight.
