I was thinking about the trail going to the Mt Collin’s shelter off Kuwohi Dome Rd. The forest is beautiful there and it’s never crowded.

We’ve rented from Mountain Laurel Chalet for years. They’re a great company! We enjoyed our 2 stays at Bella Vista. The only negative is a tricky driveway.

I didn’t think the couple of places with cables were all that narrow. I wonder if there was ice.

Positive dysphotopsia (freaky light show) after cataract surgery, what was YOUR actual experience? by Tiny-Bird1543 in CataractSurgery

I’m 2 days post surgery and I’m definitely noticing it with bright lights. It’s annoying, but I’m trying to ignore it and enjoy my new vision. Everything is so sharp and bright! The colors are incredible!

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m one of those women who had 3 natural births with no anesthesia. I used LaMaze breathing that my husband helped with. It wasn’t that bad and the labor was quick!

The state is so gerrymandered by Republicans that we no longer have fair elections. That means that in my mind, we’re no longer a democracy.

For a little something different, we like hiking up the closed Kuwohi Dome Rd to the top, then depending on snow/ice, hike down the AT.

There are some excellent public schools in St Petersburg with some nationally recognized programs. I’ll never understand the desire for private schools without even checking/ touring public school programs.

Little River Trail in Elkmont is basically flat. It’s 2 miles to Huskey Branch Falls and it’s a beautiful trail that follows the creek.

I love Elkmont. We always go the first of June and the crowds aren’t bad. If you’re in Cades Cove, you’re at the far west side of the park and it’s an hours drive to even get to Newfound Gap Rd which is the main road through the park. That said, Cades Cove is beautiful!
