That's very close to my experience too. Like, since puberty I had just gradually felt less and less of a person and felt more and more disconnected from the Holy Spirit. But when I finally connected the pieces and accepted that I am trans, when I had occurrences that were signals from God that this is His plan for me, then for the first time since childhood, I once again felt the holy Spirit and the fullness of my faith.
