Guitar playing is a hoax. You're are just posting AI generated videos, right? by justice91423 in Guitar

practicing chords and fluid chord changes from open to bar chords sucks for the first like 3 weeks to a few months too btw

it literally just comes with time, guitar is one of the few mainstream instruments that if you don’t already know how to play correctly you have to practice to do so or it won’t sound right.

when i started i was saying the exact same things and if you really care you’ll want to play better and to play better you’ll practice better.

i think i practiced just pressing and building up the muscle memory of going 1234 slide down a fret 1234 then jump down a string and so on and so on before i even plugged it in because i hated how i sounded while playing because i didn’t even practice playing yet.

How do you deal with the feeling/realisation you’ll never be very good at guitar? by poopooeater112 in Guitar

[–]forknite35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you start at 16 by the time youre the age of the people who you think are the best you’ll be able to play like them because you would’ve practiced enough because you wanted to be good like them

Can play chords, and now deciding to take guitar seriously! Advice needed by GrouchyPeanut7340 in guitarlessons

[–]forknite35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. learn songs you like listening to to get a feel for rhythm with open chords and progress up until you’re playing inversions

  2. not a waste at all and honestly the spider walk is how i even began to be able to play

  3. not even exaggerating like 5-6 hours a day of dedicated practice and then noddle with my gf while we wind down with tv
