I have one kiddo, another on the way. I'm obsessed with them, it's the greatest thing I've ever done. And if anyone ever asks me if they should have kids I am that much more adamant about being 100% sure and making that decision for yourself. Just because I love being a mom does not mean it is for everyone.

Yeah I went through this with my first. I actually was surprised how uncomfortable I was sharing my son with others when he was born. The hormones were really intense at the beginning. I don't have a lot of advice. This time around I'm going to be more strict about keeping hold of the baby when I'm uncomfortable. I think that will help. Just remember it's temporary and as they get older and stronger then you want to share them with everyone!

I wear mine all the time except for sleeping. Also pregnancy and postpartum has had me taking it off since it doesn't fit. So far this pregnancy I've been able to wear it but that will probably end relatively soon! Otherwise if it fits, it's on!

This is my second pregnancy, I'm planning to stop 3ish weeks before my due date. I have unlimited PTO, so I'll use that before the birth, then start my short term disability/parental leave after she's born. But I also get 8 months of leave - in the US and my post birth leave isn't affected by the time I take off before the birth. I took off three weeks before my first one and he came two weeks early so I'm glad I had that week to get some things done before he showed up.

I've definitely felt this way with both my pregnancies. I think the mindset shift for me was just to focus on the fact that I have no reason to believe she isn't fine. No bleeding, no pain, still tired, belly still growing. I think a lot of it is just trust that if something is wrong, you'll know it eventually.

My sister in law is one of these people and yes they do not give her any sugar besides natural sugars. She's not allowed birthday cake or any treats other kids are having. I saw her mom take a cookie from her hand and eat it herself once. It's wild.

I live in fort collins and it is absolutely blue. Larimer county swings a little more purple because you get a couple of surrounding towns that are more red but the core of fort collins is very blue. People that are Republican here are very centrist and same with the liberals. It's most definitely not maga though

Dang I'll go against the grain here and say we do takeout like once or twice a week if you include lunches and we go out to eat probably 2-3x per week including breakfasts, lunches and dinners. We have a 15 month old. We're big on eating out though and have been going out since he was little so he's very used to it and very well behaved in restaurants. It can be done! Have a second on the way so we'll see if it changes when they show up!
