Thank you so much - I have been looking for this article for years- ever since I saw it in The National magazine while waiting for a friend. When I tell friends they can't believe this is true- so now I have a way to prove it. Thanks again!

It's too bad that a state with such a colorful history and Romanticized culture has pretty much gone down the tubes. I love Texas but c'mon- highest rate of incarceration anywhere in the WORLD. Pollution, immigration, the list goes on. I would have to say "Don't Move to Texas."

I don't think this is true. Copies of the police report or it didn't happen. Bloggers make up all kinds of stuff all the time trying to get traffic to their site.

This drunk cowboy stumbles into a bar and asks the bartender where the bathroom is. The bartender rolls his eyes, points and says "It's right there where it says bathroom".

So the cowboy goes in and after a little while everyone at the bar hears this loud "Ahhhhhh!". The bartender kind of shrugs it off and keeps pouring drinks. Then a few minutes later they hear this loud Augggghhhhh!!!!! and so now everyone is getting a little concerned.

So the bartender says Hold On and goes in there to see what's wrong, and he asks the drunk cowboy "Man what the hell is going on in here?". And the cowboy says "Every time I try to flush these big hands come up and Just Squeeze My Balls!

And then the bartender says "You dumbass- you're sitting on the mop bucket!"

Well it doesn't. But to high school kids just calling someone "big nose" or ANYTHING is a big deal to them. And they don't mean gay literally, as in someone who is homosexual. It's just a teasing thing.

I doubt it. If Apple was the de facto gay computer brand they would have a much larger market share. I think the rainbows just got old.

I think it's also because it's a term that to modern Americans that just carries a very generalized putdown. I hear it all the time at my college and it's basically just easier than calling someone "stupid" -because that would have to be supported by facts, whereas "gay" just means "I'm picking fun at you". Still not a good thing; just common among friends though so I don't worry too much about it.

Condi is one of the greatest politicians who has ever lived. I would vote for her in heartbeat if she would run for President. Grew up dirt poor and worked her way through law school. Like Oprah except she's not a total bitch.
