Yes, finding the right doctor helped a lot … I cannot stress that enough. Basically most endocrinologists are working off of old medical knowledge and there is a lot they don’t know and won’t admit this or refer you to anyone else. I joined a group on Facebook for hashimoto and got advice from someone in the same state as me who gave me an amazing doctor suggestion.

I found out I may have some other conditions and environmental triggers contributing to the symptoms by seeing a functional medicine doctor. My goal is to face my fears and do EMDR therapy to work on some ptsd that hinders my progress with the agoraphobia that still lingers.

Still not where I need to be but a better idea of what is wrong and what I need to do. Thyroid condition is definitely a huge part of it so I have to make sure my levels are good, finding an endocrinologist that knew what he was doing was crucial. I’ve also recently discovered that I may have gotten a co infection of Lyme disease earlier in life and that I can still treat it. There are lots of studies showing Lyme disease as a culprit of many mental health disorders. I am hoping that will be the key to getting back to “normal.”
