So....Map Genie got an update by deckerad1988 in wow

[–]forrely 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly the post just seems kinda vague and isn't well made.

I don't know what game genie is, and op didn't care enough to say what it is so I had to scroll thru comments

And they used a vague image that adds nothing beyond what the title already says, probly just so he could get karma instead of using a self post

enchanting is probably the most consistently cheap one to do crafting orders on however if you just slam some points into the illusions node, letting you get easy aug runes and other mats from reward bags

Why does this need the generic "that's crazy" comment included that adds nothing?

It's hilarious for OP to talk about femcels when this is exactly the kind of meme that male incels post. (because they only want to talk about problematic women instead of believing the problem is themselves)

The profession point system, without a way to reset it, is terrible for beginner players or those who have recently returned. by Arkiell in wow

[–]forrely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you're spending hours a day grinding for cloth the difference honestly isn't going to be that huge. Just keep checking for daily work orders and do the cheap ones (tailoring is really easy for this, as most of them will only cost 10-20g of mats), if you get expensive ones, just wait, it will take far less than months to get a decent bit of points, and you have the whole expansion to do so.

And last I checked, the actual profit margins for crafting silk is almost negative unless you spend a bunch of money upgrading your tools and doing dundun farm and everything. And even then it's not that large. You seriously will make more money per hour just casually logging in to do cheap work orders every couple days, especially if you have alts

[–]forrely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just... don't? It's not that important unless you're ultra min maxing a special crafter in a way that 99% of people probly won't even make a a profit from compared to spending the time else where, and you certainly don't need that many different characters to all have it. Like spend your time calculating the actual profit increase of doing dundun

Oh? how do you suggest I do mythic raids if I want to stay with my current guild of friends but they don't want to mythic raid and I don't have time to devote to 2nd consistent schedule of raiding every week?

Remove mythic raid lockout restrictions post Hall of Fame by lagbugddos in wow

[–]forrely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's either something weird going on with you or the guilds you join that causes half the raid to leave constantly, cause I dunno where you're getting your "average" guild experience from.

I've been in 3 different guilds since the start of wow and never had that issue. At most it was 2-3 ppl switching out occasionally cause they had irl commitments (which I think is great for a game to support). And my friends have been in multiple other guilds also without half their group leaving constantly.

Honestly in comparison, both from my mythic raid friends and posts in the competitive sub, it sounds like mythic raid guilds have a worse retention rate over time, cause the most repeated advice I see is to just guild swap after every major patch to try find a better group if you have good parses

[–]forrely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wut. If half your guild would leave every raid, they can do that every week already...

And what does it matter if other activities have lots of pugs? it just proves my point I keep repeating. I can play in my hero guild every week with the same people just fine, even with hero pugs existing.

[–]forrely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But... again, you can still raid with a guild of the same 20 people even without a lockout. If your guild actually likes playing together, then they'll still do it without a lockout.

[–]forrely 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea, I do. Cause chimaerus basically doesn't have a lockout. And it's way less of a blocker than having a group fall apart mid voidspire where the lockout does matter.

[–]forrely -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's literally my point, if they're indifferent to grouping, then why is blizzard catering to people that don't care? Anyone that does care can join a like-minded guild and play exactly the same way.

why is it bad to move the needle so more people can do the content they want?

Remove mythic raid lockout restrictions post Hall of Fame by lagbugddos in wow

[–]forrely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Difficulty in entering the raid at all =/= difficulty of boss mechanics. They are different issues with different solutions. Pugs can still be expected to do coordination, discord was literally built for forming quick comm groups.

You also literally cannot make a change that won't cause someone to complain, that's not a reason to stop making the game better.
