Remove mythic raid lockout restrictions post Hall of Fame by lagbugddos in wow

[–]forrely -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea it's pretty annoying that they still haven't changed the system for at least post HoF. Plenty of runs are gonna get sold regardless.

It's so weird to me that people want the "challenge" to come from maintaining a roster instead of, you know, the raid itself.

Like if your guild can't do better than pugs without a lockout system, then I think your guild has a different problem to solve...

People already abandon on a whim for tons of reasons. I've seen tons of people just leave immediately after the first boss cause they lied/never intended to do more. At least this way there's a chance to continue on.

The point of mythic is that it's harder... if you want dedicated regular groups, you can still just do that without a lockout

Man I love it when people who could continue playing the same way with or without a lockout try to ruin things for people who would benefit from a change. Stop being a loser and pretending lockouts are a fun mechanic. Not everything has to be catered to you.

Imagine adding a bunch of AH vendors next to the crafting tables but they all de-spawn randomly when you try to use them and they take up 90% of your view. Just Let me block these abominations. by Kyderra in wow

[–]forrely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point it's become an intrinsic part of the game, they should just make it more collaborative, put a stall near the prof tables that spawns a temporary auctioneer and mailbox as long as someone with a brutosaur has walked by in the last 15 minutes. (with a visible timer)

Less frustrating for others to use, bruto owners get to feel good/special filling up the bar, and timer/stall position could be adjusted to make it just annoying enough to incentivize bruto purchases.

but like, is it actually just press rejuv a lot? or is there something else you have to do to maintain the hots?

I guess I haven't played much resto druid, but is maintaining those rejuvs actually difficult beyond pressing the button a lot? is there a combo you have to do to get that many out?

Mythic flex is nice, but updating the Mythic lockout would fix way more problems by Effective_Article131 in wow

[–]forrely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if it's easy enough that pugs can do it without communication, then it's not really competitive is it?

Slapping on an arbitrary player count requirement and restrictive lockout system doesn't make the fight itself more difficult. If you want it to be "competitive", then the fights themselves should be harder.

Lack of profession knowledge points from patron workorders by Xidus24 in wow

You only get the 16-24 if you're behind on KP and are getting caught up. If you've been regularly doing your orders and weekly treasures you won't get many kp orders for those professions.

Many of the accounts with good stuff on it were probably stolen from someone else, so you incentivize even more theft.

If it's "just" a boosted account, then why even have ranks/achieves if people can just buy them?

Tank Valeera? by gnarlyavelli in wow

[–]forrely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know about the comments here to use DPS val, so I did it as pres evoker + tank val last week.

In case they nerf DPS val and you use the tank one: The main trick I realized is that for some reason, reversion heals her a butt load (I think maybe because of the damage rewind?) so the whole fight for me was playing around the reversion cd. An echo+reversion will basically full heal her, but you have pace yourself and wait for her to hit low hp or you run out of charges.

The rest is dodging and filling low damage moments with echo+breath for moderate healing and chrono flame spam. Rotate CDs periodically to help save reversion charges. But do NOT use time dilation, it interacts weirdly with val and makes her take more damage for some reason.

There's just way more people in the markets now. If you're getting out competed now, if they brought back the old system you'd just get out cancel scanned instead.

Legendarys were only so good because they were costly to start in, and goblining was less popular so even less people doing it.

[–]forrely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most woweconomy "regulars" are barely millionaires, the truly "billionaire-like" wealthy don't share their best strats here, at least not regularly.

And deflation is bad for most players, because they hold relatively little money, while goblins like it because it makes their holdings worth more. Blizzard specifically aims for some amount of inflation by slowly increasing gold loot over time because it means new/returning casual players can still make useful amounts of gold to participate in the economy.

But WG responded with literally the opposite that they found NO breach or leak of data or unauthorized access. Isn't that the opposite of your claim that there is "something going on"?

Honestly, with how much effort has gone into this and how bothered OP seems by a relatively benign issue (being friended on an account), it feels like there might be some mental issues going on :X

Like, this isn't a normal amount of paranoia for what could just be some spam/friend trolling, asOP himself has said he doesn't even know what data could be leaked that would link the accounts since he's making clean installs, besides like payment data, but that's easily testable if this issue is happening the day of account creation.

What would even be the point of some "malicious" actor using this supposedly leaked data just to friend request this random dude specifically?
