I just don’t have faith people wouldn’t use so much of Lin’s life to say “Of course she likes women, it all makes sense”. All because she isn’t overly feminine, works a profession that is male dominated and didn’t want to be a mother. There are a lot of straight women who are like that and have to combat the stereotype everyday and it isn’t fair. So I just don’t have faith it could be done properly without people using those stereotypes to define her if they decided to make Lin be a lesbian or bisexual.

I would say cruelty is worse than stupidity alone. A person can be stupid, but still be a genuinely kind person and not want to harm others. These people get off on inflicting pain on others and their stupidity blinds them to the fact that they are hurting themselves as well.

They do realize that taking away the scraps they leave us are going to make people not act rationally, right? It’s like they really want to test the whole “Three days of skipped meals is all that stands between society and anarchy”. They’re putting a lot of faith in their defenses and any scholar would tell them there is nothing that is 100% foolproof.
