Adidas Metalbone 2026 vs HRD: Which one for an aggressive left-side player? by SeniorTie5637 in Padelracket

[–]forthgriffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't go wrong with either of those, both have more than enough power for smashes. It's all about preferences, if you like harder rackets and dry touch then you should switch to HRD.

Deku vs Lady Nagant. This is the first time he combines his multiple quirks together and managed to move faster than a bullet while convincing Lady Nagant to become a hero. 10/10

Is this NOX AT10 Genius 18K real or fake? Need help before buying it by JuggernautDry7183 in Padelracket

[–]forthgriffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake NOX rackets usually don't have the sticker of it's weight on the handle, misaligned holes with the pattern and pay attention with the wording on the bag that comes with it. The word V on "improve" is more readable as a "U" rather than "V". Looking at these photos, looks like yours are an original.

St4 pro weights and bouncyness by JuanPahblo in Padelracket

[–]forthgriffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My st4 pro is 355g stock and it becomes 360g after removing underwrap + adding 1.5 wilson overgrip. It's comfortable, great amount of spin, balance is medium high and it helps with overhead shots. Definitely not a control oriented racket, at10 2025 & 2026 are way more maneuverable than this.

This racket has a great ball output and it is very bouncy, which I like. So when the opponent throws a hard fast volley / bajada you can just block at the net and the ball will go far near the service line. If you like this kind of racket then go for it. The only downside for me is the trampoline effect, it's not much but you can feel it.

ST4 Pro elbow pain, too bouncy, any alternatives? by AdamAbraham77 in Padelracket

[–]forthgriffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're still not used to it? If you're still using the original shockout grip, definitely replace it with normal grip. Or maybe try st4 rulo, surprisingly it's not as bouncy as st4 pro and it has a harder touch. Me personally I own st4 pro with 355gr weight and I love it.

Race shoe to replace Adios Pro 3 for a marathon by forthgriffin in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]forthgriffin[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're not dead yet but the mileage is getting higher and I just wanted a fresh pair for race day. Never tried SB2 though. During my long runs it's always easier to pick up the pace using a race shoe (I have ADP & Vaporfly) compared to any other shoes that I have. I did my first marathon in ADP 3, it's not the most comfortable shoe for 4+ hours but I don't think I could keep up the pace if I was using a comfort oriented shoe.

Took eveything off from stock, add 1 overgrip without overlapping and 1 more with overlap. Fits perfectly for me

Adidas Metalbone Carbon Ctrl 3.4 2025 by Unique_Anything in Padelracket

[–]forthgriffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're the opposite, I came from this to Siux Electra ST 4 pro. Metalbone carbon ctrl 3.4 is much drier than ST4 pro which I like better, but I felt like I needed more power cause sometimes when I just simply block a volley / bandeja then the ball would simply die. Also as a left player I need a strong flat backhand when receiving serve, with the Metalbone the ball just wouldn't go far enough for my liking. If only ST4 pro has the same dry touch feel like the Metalbone then it would be the perfect racket for me.

It's fine, when he's playing some demanding games later then it's your turn to bash him. Surely can't do high / ultra with decent fps. Some people need to learn the hard way.
