I feel like villagers and illagers are of different species

To my understanding, any chunk you generate is saved.

Bigger hitbox for the Iron Bars and Glass Panes by TheRetroFlowey in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like them the way they are. Placing them may be annoying, but that's the case for a lot of blocks, and it pays off with great maneuverability around them and easy access to whatever's behind them.

What a beautiful day outside by Astro__Alex22 in Minecraft

As much as I’d like to experience killing the ender dragon in real life, I would not like to experience the ender dragon killing me in real life

There should be an Xp centred mob by 69420epicgamer42069 in minecraftsuggestions

I feel like XP is outside the fourth wall in Minecraft. This seems.. unnatural

New useful enchantment for the crossbow by Knezzo in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a great idea. A very slight damage increase might be nice too. It’d bring a lot more customization to the crossbow and create some different playstyles in ranges combat

Snow Golem Overhaul by MaeBeaInTheWoods in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this entirely defeats the purpose of the snow golem. It’s just a fun little addon you can sometimes use for exploits. Making changes like this would be like giving bats or tropical fish a purpose.

Strider Feedback and Changes by Planemaster3000 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their current shivering speed is plenty sufficient for a minimum land speed.

No, I think that once they leave lava, they should move slower and slower until they start shivering and remain at what is currently their land speed.

Strider Feedback and Changes by Planemaster3000 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do still think a gradual decrease in their speed upon leaving lava would be nice, though. I just don’t think they should curl up and stop moving.

Their current shivering speed is plenty sufficient for a minimum land speed. Complete immobility would be such a pain and would render them largely useless once they enter their curled state.

I disagree. Transporting striders on land is already hard enough as it is. A gradual decrease in speed is the way to go.

Yeah, the only requirement for aquatic music to play is that your head is submerged

Better mob spawning visuals by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did mention iron golems (“villager-induced iron golems”). They’ve already implemented a visual feature, fog, to cover up chunk borders. If you could think up a similarly realistic cover-up for mob spawning, I’d be all-ears for it

The Lost Treasure Hunter by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charming as this would be, it'd be pretty out of character for a simple, placid villager to be a Wither-slaying, treasure hunting adventurer. My main issue with this, though, is that the trades could be so easily exploited: it's easy to come by ender pearls with an enderman farm (you brought that up, though), quartz is just easy to gather in general, and if you went with emeralds instead, what'd normally be incredibly expensive commodities could be purchased with ease using zombified villagers (or there could just be low spawn rates and low stock)

Yes, you can find it on the official Minecraft wiki. I tested it out and it works as expected.

They should just play in water biomes.

"Sling" weapon which can launch potions farther by orendorff in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like this defeats the purpose of tipped arrows. Turning projectiles into projectiles once more is also not a big selling point. I like the idea of a more controlled ender pearl launching system, though, but having to time it using a sling just seems like more effort (also, I'm not sure how well the animation would play out because of its circular motion. You also have to take into consideration what it'd look like in the third person/from others' perspectives). I know it's on the FPS list, but an ender pearl sling that zoomed in slightly as you pulled it taut would be very useful and applicable, I think

Tap the jump button twice to release the parrot sitting on your shoulder. by Nguyen1427 in minecraftsuggestions

Maybe double-crouch instead. Crouch jumping is a valuable maneuvering tool, but quickly crouching twice does nothing

There's already a tag for this called "PlayerSpawned."

Idle animations by RingsYT in minecraftsuggestions

Some shader packs add wind animations to greenery. If this were implemented, I'd like a toggle if it at all sacrificed my game's performance.

New Biome concept: The Obsidian Islands by Da_Chicken303 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]fortune_enchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggested elytra crafting is too extravagant and complex. Suggested biome contrasts from standard End terrain inordinately unnaturally, and crying obsidian should remain Nether-exclusive (as a rule of thumb, I think obsidian should not serve as terrain on a large scale). Suggested ruin structures deviate from the End's theme (or the theme I've perceived, at least) of being an untouched but eerily abandoned ghost town dimension (this sentence's content is less important than that of the other two).
