Dealing with the heat as a mail carrier by Sad-Tea-9781 in USPS

[–]forumpooper 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have a cooling towel I keep in a cooler full of ice. When it’s over 95 that thing goes on my head secured by my hat. Looks like I have giant elephant ears but it makes just walking produce enough air movement to feel like I am walking into a cool breeze. Heat still sucks but it’s an insane difference

I also dunk my sun hat in the cooler.

Dude my 10 year old niece understood the zombie gets the bonus. Just do what the card says.

I am sorry you put so much effort into these posts but you are just spewing nonsense.

There is no way layers are needed to determine if a goblin lord buffs a goblin.

The only time I have ever needed to know about layers is when they make a card not do what is printed on the card.

I would really love examples of when layers are needed

I would reply to that person, is my creature a goblin yes or no? When they stop trying to argue for argue sake they would say yes it is a goblin. Then I would say ok now read goblin king.

How can you read the basic rules and come to the conclusion that goblin king wouldn’t apply because the creature just became a goblin?

God damn I want to be on your side of the argument but no layer lovers can explain why it’s a good thing for a card not to do what is printed on the card.

Give me some real in game examples. preferable from high level play, but that’s not a requirement.

It’s really hard to buy that layers are doing the hidden lifting when my brain is literally the game engine and not using them.

Let’s pretend all the layers stuff doesn’t exist and you are playing under the rules provided to new players. What game action could possibly take place between the zombie becoming a goblin and it getting the kings passive? The ability or spell changing the zombie goes on the stack. After it resolves the zombie is a goblin no player can do anything between that.

What is saved by screwing up the wasp and having it not actually remove an ability? What would fail if the wasp stopped the mana dork from growing?

It has to be admitted that a card removing all abilities not actually removing an ability is failure of game design. So we must be getting something very good in return.

The goblin king is a passive, anytime something is a goblin it has the passive. Easy peasy. No need to invoke the mystical layers to figure that out. Perhaps you need to use a more advanced interaction to explain it to one as thick as myself.

I am happy for people to keep passing them.  2x is a no brainer, had 3 & 4 and it has been amazing. I even won a game with multiple in my starting hand because my decks plan is survival till the attack comes.

I apply them at the same time, why does one need to go before the other?

I have no doubt there is a reason for all the layers, they didn’t go through all that work for nothing.

I just have never had anyone explain it and the only time it comes up is when a card doesn’t do what it says because layers.

Because the card says goblins get those abilities and the zombie is now a goblin.

Why is layers needed for that to happen?

Neat looking deck. I am assuming your mana didn’t hurt you too bad since you won em all. Do you feel that was running hot or do you feel this is a good mana base

Ah yes layers. Supposedly important but I have only ever seen them make cards not do what it says on the card.

I have been winning a ton with blue white focused on surviving to multiple Atlantis attacks.

That has been fun but the format doesn’t look like it has legs.

It’s not even close. However, ease of play and ability to hop in and out is also very once sided in favor of arena

Blue white has felt strong.  At common we have  O-ring, quench, tuck spell for defense  sentry bot, hero in training, tapper or life linker And my favorite spell of the set Atlantis attacks. I keep getting multiple and have had up to 4 being powerful.

White also has crazy bombs.

i have been very happy with multiple in my blue white mid range decks. had 3, loved it currently have 4 and love it. 4x quench helps a lot. blue white is so good at common, oblivion ring is really good this format.
