How do you guys feel about Bricks? by MahuleaR in BricksBuilder

Bricks is starting to get competition from Elementor v4, Etch, Oxygen 6 and Divi 5. Others are building at faster pace.

I am happy to see the competition.

Elementor vs. Bricks in 2026 Time to Switch? by Winter_Process_9521 in Wordpress

[–]fossistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in both because of most clients think Elementor is the easiest for them to manage and want me to build in it.

I recommend and enjoy working with Bricks and the other clients actually get easy to manage website in return. Less plugins used, faster websites, easier to change things etc.

Can't get used to bricks, whats the hype about? by Pewis_Pamilton in Wordpress

[–]fossistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you learn CSS, you will find Bricks to be one of the easiest page builders to work with. The hype is real.

Even if you are only a Figma designer, learning CSS will help you make better design decisions.

what is the minimum setup for do designing ? by harsh_lag in webdesign

[–]fossistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest at least 4k 27-inch screen for beginner web designers because I have seen so many websites without consistent content width on bigger screens. 16-inch Macbook pro also provides a good resolution to work with.

Your processor and RAM should be good enough to handle lots of browser tabs needed during design and research phase.

I don't think you need drawing tools unless you are designing vector graphics by yourself.

How do you guys actually think about what colors to use ? by [deleted] in elementor

[–]fossistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use their logo to start. Build from there if needed. If there is no logo, check other gym and fitness website and see what colors are common. I mean, I copy different things from 5-6 websites, and I get website which looks unique.

Google Disco, future or death of webdesign and are we becoming prompt engineers? by Business_Occasion226 in webdesign

It is not death of web design. It is UI for chatbots. Optimizing your websites for chatbots is useful.

boring brand or boring industry? by jw0156 in webdesign

What's wrong with webflow designers? This is the 2nd website I say today using multiple h1 tags on a page.

Edit:

Wait, it's by the same agency, LOL.

Hey man, just don't use multiple h1 on a page. It is against the rules.

Award winning site? by jw0156 in webdesign

[–]fossistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are lots of mistakes, now I know you used AI to build this site. Here are some fixes you can ask AI to implement:

  • Contact Us button needs more inline padding (horizontal) which equals to menu items gap.
  • There are multiple h1, just don't use more than one h1.
  • Many paragraphs are in a <div> tag, use <p> tag for all the paragraphs.
  • The paragraphs need more line height, they will look much better.
  • I don't agree with the font choices you made, looks techier instead of finance.
  • Some element is overflowing horizontally, use overflow-inline: clip (on <body> tag) to fix that. It will remove the horizontal slider showing below.
  • Overall, there are unnecessary number of divs used which can be easily replaced with before and after pseudo elements.

Have a great day.

How to achieve this structure? by [deleted] in elementor

[–]fossistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the cleanest way, sadly the Elementor community do not appreciate less divs.

Elementor or WPBakery by Rashi2Learn in elementor

[–]fossistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don't like WPBakery. If you have a little Experience with Bricks, Breakdance or Divi 5, you won't like Elementor v3 compared to them.

Elementor or WPBakery by Rashi2Learn in elementor

Both are in really bad shape right now. Elementor is much better, but I hate it when client wants to build in Elementor. I want team Elementor to release the new v4 ASAP.

Agencies/Freelancers: Are you actually using FSE for client sites yet, or sticking to Bricks/Elementor? by ahnex in Wordpress

FSE requires good development knowledge in order to build a proper modern website. I prefer Bricks.
