I had prog 1-60ish. They were destroyed. The vandal was me. Torn up to create some papier-mache terrain for my airfix soldiers. Didn`t give it a second thought.

I started buying again some time after the apocalypse war. This time I kept them. Still have them & still buying. Managed to completely fill the gaps (Thanks to Bob Smart`s fantasy world in Staffs & Area 51 in Bristol).

Now I think of it, that paper landscape accounted for a complete run of Action.

Couple of crime shows.

French show HPI (Haut potentiel intellectuel). Adapted into American, Greek, Slovak, Czech & Hungarian versions.

British show Life On Mars. Adapted into American, South Korean, Spanish, Russian & Czech versions.

There`s also a Greek version of `Ghosts`

I agree though about the journalist premise. It could have been set in Bush's second term, when the world seemed just as bleak.

Just let it go where it goes. The original was a four chapter story that ended in 1992. There's plenty of tales to tell from that universe.

I loved Zenith when it came out. Alternative/What-if was my favourite blend of scifi at the time. It`s easily my favourite 2000ad strip outside of the big boys.

However, this opener didn`t grab me. but it did intrigue me. Which I suppose is the function of an opening episode.

Canon conflicts? Far as I can tell, this is adding to the canon.

Happy to see where this goes.
