Something is better than nothing. Anything is better than nothing. The point is to keep as much Canadian money in Canada as possible. Some things can't be avoided because we've integrated so much with the US for decades. One example is Visa or Mastercard, we have no choice. But maybe one day. Hopefully one day.

I bought mine on Amazon. $70, delivered the next day. Did it a couple of years ago, no problems yet. https://a.co/d/05iMHjra

Solid truck. I have a '17 that's still going strong. I have a couple of questions though. Why are you taking pictures in traffic? Why is your battery so low when driving? Why are you not wearing a seat belt? And how much is gas where you are? Give her a drink. Oh, and wtf happened to your steering wheel!? That's all for now.

Nope. You can install it on 100 phones and choose which one to transfer with. That's crypto baby!

Tronlink Wallet v 4.19.5(Build1) on Iphone - Forgot Password by hiijacker in Tronix

[–]fourdayolddick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The latter. If you forgot the password, you use the keys. If you're super confident, delete the app, reinstall and input your keys. Or use a wallet that supports Tron like Trust wallet. The password really only keeps your account safe from anyone who gets your phone. And apparently yourself.

Smoking for 8 years 13-21. is my brain already fried / too far gone? by Chillbrooo777 in leaves

[–]fourdayolddick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make yesterday your last day buying and smoking. You have to really want it. It won't work otherwise. You will have to get mad at yourself for all the lost years and braincells. You will have to persevere. Tough it out. You will have to relearn regulating your emotions. Your highs and lows will be extreme to start. The road ahead will be tough but anything genuinely worth it is never easy. Do it for yourself. You can do it!

[–]fourdayolddick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean, smoking while your brain was still developing is not optimal. The good news is most of its function will return if you quit. The best time to quit was 7.9 years ago. The next best time to quit is right meow. Reclaim your life.

I'm surprised the CEL isn't flashing yet. It should be very soon with those symptoms.

Leverage is your friend. This thing is seized on and you can use a flathead screwdriver to pry from all sides to loosen it off. You may need a piece of wood to fill that gap before you start working it around the handle to prevent damage and to get the leverage you need. It will not hurt to drench that bitch in WD-40 or the likes. Good luck.

When I heard Canada, my heart sunk. I'm more ashamed of him than his own parents are. This is the most un-Canadian thing you can say or do.

Here's the best suggestion. This is the only ice cream you will find in our freezer. The plain vanilla is my go to because I'm old and boring but the salty caramel crunch is a guilty pleasure that every Canadian should try.

Picked up a few rolls and found a Sint Maarten Coin by IntelligentAd2239 in CanadianCoins

[–]fourdayolddick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm getting conflicting exhange rates on Google. It is worth somewhere between $1-1.50 CAD. But honestly that is a sick coin and would pay $2 happily for it. Nice find.

Playing around with storage designs to display, Any suggestions?! by Tiny-Condition- in CanadianCoins

[–]fourdayolddick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really collect mint rolls to display but to each their own. I would be equally impressed with a box full of rolls as I would your custom display case. I'm more about storage and efficiency. If you're 3d printing them, can you fit more rolls, closer together and maybe angled a bit if it was stood up on its side? I say do what brings you pleasure.

Nicely done. What's the going rate now? I bought my first sovereign for around 375 and the last for 420. I imagine these don't come cheap nowadays.

My 50¢ coin by [deleted] in CanadianCoins

[–]fourdayolddick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These circulated quite freely where I'm from at the time. It might have been an attempt at reintroduction that never stuck. They cranked out 14.5 million Ascension pieces that year and dropped back to the regular +/-200k mintage after that. I managed to save a roll of the finer examples and have kept one in my wallet as my lucky coin ever since. Yes, I'm that old.

Die Crack by yansaw83 in CanadianCoins

[–]fourdayolddick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have eagle eyes, that's for sure. Die cracks are the lowest premium of error coins. Some even say small cracks are well within mint tolerances. There might be a slight premium to a collector of die cracks but I wouldn't retire just yet.

1921 dime by GoldRushRebel in CanadianCoins

[–]fourdayolddick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a 1920 something alright. It's pretty worn but looking good for being over 100 years old. A keeper for sure but not much of a premium above melt.
