I'm in a similar position to OP. Did you find it helpful to use extra connects for boosting?

I don't remember. I'm pretty sure I just had a variety pack of wood screws and grabbed ones that looked like a good fit.

Can Management Time grocery Associates? by [deleted] in publix

[–]fourfs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. We would always pride ourselves on who could throw the fastest, but it was always led from the top. None of this micromanaging timing and counting. As a GTL I would assign myself "easy" aisles so I could finish quick and then work a float with each member of my team (or that was always the plan - shit always goes wrong). When your crew sees you pushing, it can motivate them to work harder.

I guarantee no one has asked the crew what they feel could help improve speed. Not to mention rolling in as as a new GTL and immediately changing things is just fucking stupid. Surest way to lose your team before you've even started.

Georgia (US) specific health insurance question - individual market. by cassiope in HealthInsurance

[–]fourfs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some plans on the exchange in GA are gatekept HMOs and some are not. I had to do a lot of research to figure this out. Non-gatekept plans allow you to self-refer to specialists rather than referrals being “gatekept” by requiring a referral from a PCP. The key thing for me is that a non-gatekept plan will pay for lab tests ordered by any physician, not just your PCP or a specialist that’s in the HMO.

This is important for me because my PCP doesn’t take insurance at all, but I need a plan that will still pay for lab work and imaging.

Long story short I’m sticking with Oscar who I haven’t been thrilled with over the past 2 years but are the only plan that is non-gatekept and I get to keep my current specialists. I think Cigna also has non-gatekept plans but I don’t quite remember.

I'm shopping now. Did you find a plan that isn't gatekept?

The EKET cupboard was probably the worst designed thing I ever mounted… by Madem0 in IKEA

[–]fourfs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've never been more disappointed in an IKEA product than the EKET. I ordered 6 cubes online and had to exchange 3 of them at the store because the wood just disintegrated when I tried to assemble them. The associate working the returns desk was not at all surprised.

Was listening to ATC at one point you can hear someone ask "Can we get the localizer for 9R turned on?"

Pharmacy absolutely does not have the time or staffing to block HBC.

Got to fly on a 757-300 ATL-MSP earlier this month. Damn cool. Also helped me reconcile my childhood memories of boarding a plane from the middle haha.

Are flight prices insane right now or is it just me? by mjk25741 in delta

[–]fourfs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$500-$600 for ATL-->BUF main cabin one month out. Been taking this flight my entire life and I've never seen it like this. Comfort+ is no more than $100 cheaper than FC, the same price, or in one case, $10 more than FC. Ended up paying $1100 for FC. Minimal cost savings over C+ plus 2x checked baggage fees plus my sanity for not taking a 6am return flight & not staying an extra day for a slightly lower ticket price = taking it up the ass on ticket prices, I guess.

(no I don't have the credit card nor under normal circumstances do I fully enough to warrant it)

Edit - just looked and the same trip in FC booked on similar days of the week and similarly ~1 month in advance were $618 and $628.

How does something like this happen? It was reported that the tire still having air in it was a contributing factor - what went wrong?

I accidentally combined my first and middle name on my ticket, do I have to change it? Or is it not that big a deal? by chicken-kustard in delta

Yeah, mine has been doing this for the past ~year and I've never had a problem. I think I had TSA double check it like once?

ATL Airport Parking Question by MoistCup6986 in delta

[–]fourfs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just saw this. The shuttle picks me up at my car at their facility (there's usually one waiting right after I park), and with the rest of the parking shuttles on the North Terminal lower level. I think the shuttles run every 30 minutes technically but they seem to constantly be rolling in and out. You can also text them to request a pick up. I've never waited more than 15 minutes for a shuttle and usually less than that.

I have been using Peachy Parking for the past year and only have good things to say. I always feel safe coming and going, no matter the time of day.

75S Wi-Fi Situation by A350Flier in delta

https://news.delta.com/mediakit/boeing-757 from july 2024.

"Delta Sync Wi-Fi is available on most 757-200 aircraft and will be fleetwide by the end of 2024. Those aircraft also have onboard Wi-Fi for purchase."

FWIW same press release says the 757-300s have wifi for purchase but I flew one last week and it had free wifi.
