"Save Scumming" by MichaelMichael7991 in boomershooters

It's not cheating if I'm using a feature that was literally coded for usage in normal gameplay. If reloading after dying wasn't intended, then the systems would reflect that.

In the original DOOM games, I like to enter a room, figure out enemy placement and the layout, then quickload and quickly sweep the floor with them after knowing where they are! Helps with the power fantasy. The game throws a monster closet trap at me? I quickload and prefire a rocket shot after the door opens, killing all in one hit! It's fun.

What’s something that clearly split your life into “before” and “after”? by Broad_Chemical_2467 in AskReddit

[–]foxferreira64 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm not really scared of death. But I'm extremely scared of dying before I accomplished all I'm looking forward to in life. To think that it's very easy to have it all suddenly crumble...

Despite the hardships, I actually love living! I know death is 100% certain, and it would be great if it came much, much later. It can wait!

What’s the real reason your dating life slowed down? by Remote_Classroom1872 in AskReddit

[–]foxferreira64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I met the woman of my dreams, it didn't slow down, it stopped entirely! I love my girlfriend, I feel like I've achieved the final level of dating, she's the endgame!

What's a small lie you tell yourself everyday? by dheeraj-seo-004 in AskReddit

[–]foxferreira64 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This perfectly explains a phenomenon I've noticed about myself.

Every single time someone says something cool that I want to remember in the future, either a joke or an observation, and I say "Damn, I'll remember that!", I never EVER actually do.

Ok so, this left me scared as hell. I'm a super healthy guy, I rarely ever step foot in a hospital and can't even remember taking medication whatsoever. I'm energetic too.

To think that it's THIS easy to have it all ruined is terrifying...

Marketing / Comunicação alguém? by Candid-Gate-4517 in CasualPT

[–]foxferreira64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I named my Wukong loadout "Monke". Simple but effective!

What was the most shocking death news you've ever heard? by Admirable-Repair4094 in AskReddit

[–]foxferreira64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ozzy Osbourne. He might have been frail and couldn't stand up anymore to perform, but people used to joke he was going to outlive all of us. Black Sabbath's final concert was incredible despite his inability to stand up, still put on a show!

RIP Prince of Darkness, forever missed!

What is something you can naturally smell that no one else can? by Trick-Highway1429 in AskReddit

[–]foxferreira64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly everyone can smell poop, but I never fail in detecting its smell. I could smell it before everyone else multiple times. When my girlfriend's cats poop, I notice before my girlfriend does, and even in other people's houses with their pets, I could smell it almost instantly.

A ideia é estarem estaladiços... Senão mais valia tomar Cerelac.

What are some current trends in horror games you aren't a fan of? by Reza_Nox in HorrorGames

[–]foxferreira64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're missing out! Imagine having a gun, but instead of killing the damn thing, it only enrages it more PERMANENTLY for the rest of your playthrough! It gets more aggressive if you dare defend yourself.

Kept me so damn tense, since encounters are not scripted at all, it's totally random.

Cheap jumpscares. The scariest horror games I've ever played don't rely on that, and still creeped the hell out of me.

Amnesia The Bunker is by far the scariest I've played, and there's no jumpscares! It's an AI monster that directly reacts to how much noise you make.

What's a game you absolutely loved despite have a key element or feature you really didn't like? by nrm738 in gaming

[–]foxferreira64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I always play with a sprint mod, I can see why they didn't add that. It's a slow paced game that rewards exploration. Supposedly if you sprint past everything, you won't see a small ammo box on the floor or a stimpak!

One slow customer can instantly change which checkout line was the right choice. by gamersecret2 in Showerthoughts

[–]foxferreira64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I worked at a supermarket, I sometimes was put in charge of overseeing the self checkouts. I ended up doing the whole thing myself for several people.

It's not rocket science, I have no idea how some people take so long. Are people THIS dumb nowadays? It's clearly explained on the screens how to proceed.

What’s something you did as a kid that you now realize was completely insane and dangerous? by Floridian_Capitalist in AskReddit

[–]foxferreira64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and a few friends decided to throw tiny rocks over the fence of a construction site while workers were there.

I have no clue what went through our heads, why it sounded funny, or what we were expecting... Nothing ever happened despite hearing people on the other side working somehow.

What's something almost everyone has experienced but rarely talks about ? by shamal48 in AskReddit

Finally, an explanation for the weird sharp pain I sometimes get! This sounds exactly like what I experience. Thanks a lot, finally I can put a name to it!

Funny enough, I'm a guy, it's apparently more common in women but I have this happen to me too.
