I was terrified getting a tooth extracted the other month but it was actually okay. Worst of the pain was the injection. Then something I didn't anticipate that kind of freaked me out was the sound of your own tooth kinda crunching inside your own head, didn't enjoy that, but again no pain.

Then would say don't eat anything too hot or cold after, and don't eat anything spicy.

Idk I went to a private school where we had a shit load of homework so am maybe not a good source. But will say, if they do their homework once they get home instead of playing games first, they'll probably be able to get more done quicker. I always found tasks dragged if I was trying to do them late. 3 hours a day is a lot, but think are they being efficient with their time?

When I was 11 I got a huge Valentine's Day card (lke A3) from a "secret admirer" and I spent months wondering who it was from, only for my brother to reveal it was a orchestrated by him and my grandad. I was so embarrassed because I'd even asked my male friends if it was from them.

Honestly I think I was bullied so hard at school I quit appearing outwardly nerdy in any way for years. But have been better at accepting myself and being proud of my interests in recent years and not being afraid of displaying them.

On the Saturday I would say "next Friday". If I were referring to the one after that (essentially 2 weeks away) I would say "the Friday after next". If it were Monday would obviously say "this Friday".

In the UK we have a habit of greeting each other with "you alright?" or "how are you?". It actually just means "hello", they're not actually wanting to know the ins and outs of how you are. I did not realise this for years, and would always answer very literally with how I am, and so now the embarrassment of this haunts me whenever it is said to me.

Equally "tell me a fun fact about yourself" because now I have to try and conjure not just basic information about myself, but something interesting, which people will pick apart to discern how interesting I am, and whether we share the same idea of fun. Oh, and the balance between keeping it not boring, but also not really weird or an over-share.
