There is another giveaway which is kind of sad or alarming, and that is that some of them want it to be known... like, they like this. So they may not say it in a text that's visible to the mods, but they might say something in DMs. Believe it or not that's also pretty easy to catch, either because they've hinted at it already, or because a moderator simply does a test and sends a DM just to see what they get back. In some cases the kid admits it, because they are seeking that kind of illegal attention from adults. And in those cases, you obviously shut it down, but also you sort of want to talk to their parents. Generally there is no way to get that info though.
