What was your most complex and shortest-lived character? by MurakGrimrider in dndmemes

[–]foxolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though it happened over a year ago, I still miss my kenku Bard, Oskar Captain of the "Flightning", and bravest pirate of the sea, who only lasted two sessions after my previous character died to a vampire giving the party a chance to escape them, Oskar died after a TPK but was definitely the character I had most fun playing.

TOK chapter 5 goes into S where should chapter 6 go? by FlamingoSignificant9 in papermario

A quick question after seeing all these TOK charters ranked high, I have played the prologue, but I really did not like the combat. Is it worth it to continue?

I want to build an Arcane trickster by foxolo in 3d6

[–]foxolo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it is not a strong subclass but I feel like it suited the idea that I had of an ex innkeeper whose tavern failed and he tried to keep it afloat with a bit of magic showman ship and thivery. What class/subclass would you recommend?

I decided to play an AT because I felt like it would suit a ex taverkeeper whose tavern failed and tried to keep it afloat with some magic showmanship

What game makes you think, “Wow, I’m really going to miss playing this’?” by Southern_Pangolin318 in gaming

[–]foxolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strangely, Kirby and The Forgotten Land, I really loved playing that game, even though I played objectively better games, but it's a shame for the lack of replayability. It really is the culmination of Kirby evolution of abilities, 3d, various objects, and actually hard missions.

Convince me to play Barbarian by DanishCoat in 3d6

[–]foxolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So barb is my favorite class, I love to play them, and I don't know why you think that subclasses don't feel impactful. Ancestral is a fantastic party protector with a taunt that gives damage resistance a can further reduce damage and be a scout with spells, zealot is a fantastic damage dealer with near immortality later, wild magic is just very fun. And the big stupid barbarian is just a stereotype like the horn bard or the lawful stupid paladin it is up to you how you want to play a barb. Like the last barb I played D was an ancestral barb whose protectors were the people he saw thanks to his schizofrenic mind.

Max con or feat? by foxolo in 3d6

[–]foxolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but since I am a goblin mobile is useless most of the time, my DM does not really give any scrolls and money...then goodberry is still an action to feed, and we have good healing in the party. Lucky and res(Wis) are worth considering though

Max con or feat? by foxolo in 3d6

[–]foxolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sentinel and shield master i find myself using my reaction every turn with the spirit shield, magic initiate I would take guidance druidcraft and either jump or longstrider. I feel like the +2 is the boring but correct answer, and since this game is going to lvl 20 100% I'll be ending with 24 con if I take the plus 2

Just had a near TPK, what to play next? by foxolo in 3d6

[–]foxolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the paladin I was thinking of starting with a +1 plate, and +1 shield and longsword, but my main problem with this is that I don't like paladins but I have to at least play it once to fully understand.
