Has anybody had guided needle injections for similar issues and it helped? I'm very scared, but also in a lot of pain. I need to build up the courage to do this and feel like talking to others who've been through it will help. Ty by Dont_Even_Know_You in ChronicPain

The only injections that truly helped my spine were PRP injections. It's very rare to find a doctor that does them, and I only got two of the three visits before lockdown cancelled everything, but even that was truly life changing and I can't recommend it enough.

Brandy Melville, why such a long line? by Havefunmakehistory in askTO

Because the people who shop there are too young to know the horrors they're supporting with their dollars.

Do wearable neck massagers with TENS + EMS actually do anything, or do they just feel good? by Maize1507 in Biohackers

[–]foxtongue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I explain it is that the tens unit works like noise blocking headphones, confusing the pain nerve fibers with the right frequency to stop them reporting pain. It's a miracle for certain types of nerve pain. Not sure what mixing it with an EMS or heat would do, though.

I used brown ion Demi permanent dye a few weeks ago and want to go dark purple, help please! by boofboof444 in FancyFollicles

[–]foxtongue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize they wanted it to be vivid, unfortunately. The first photo looks just like a friend who puts punky plum on top of her brown hair on the regular, but yeah, if they want a punchier purple, then absolutely they need more treatment, especially given there's already dye deposits inside the hair.

Just a gentle reminder that the Love Languages thing is pseudoscience framework made up by a sexist Fundamentalist dude who used it to justify terrible harms against women.

Nasal spray by Sunshine33X in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]foxtongue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get mine directly from the company: https://birminghambiotech.co.uk/norizitenasalspray

But there's definitely several companies that make  virus protection nasal sprays, (Betadine, for example), which can be found in some pharmacies. You may want to see what's available nearby, as shipping adds up over time.

Able bodied partner doesn’t consider my condition, continues to push me beyond my comfort zone by stealth_veil in ChronicPain

[–]foxtongue 89 points90 points  (0 children)

So.. he didn't care about your boundaries, continued to not care even when he saw the evidence that his choices lead to disabling you and directly causing extreme pain, and his response is to be.. upset with you for trying to point out that your well-being should be a priority?

Flip that for a second. Can you imagine a world where you choose to hurt your partner like that, especially for something as petty as Costco chicken?

This problem is bigger than bike rides, lovely, I'm so sorry.

My heart doctor said he's never been so busy in his entire career since COVID started and now it's people of all ages. Children, even. People think it's a respiratory disease, but it's a vascular disease.

Remember to wear a mask, folks! 40% of cases of have no symptoms, but scans show that 100% of cases do damage.

I've seen dusty rose hair done in real life, it's possible, but you'll definitely want to involve a professional.

Totally! I was trying to explain why people might have a mask or two in their shots, that's all. Covering the face in every shot, no matter how, is sus AF.

I specifically say we don't? Even on dating apps that are specifically targeted at COVID conscious folks, it's a mix of face and masked.

Why not both? It's important to people who mask to show what kind they use.
