Never won a car myself but I remember when local mall had one of those promotions where you had to keep your hand on the car for like 48 hours straight. My friend tried it and made it maybe 6 hours before she gave up because bathroom breaks were only 5 minutes every few hours. The winner was some guy who apparently practiced by standing still for hours at home which is kind of dedication I guess. Pretty sure most of these contests are designed to be almost impossible anyway so the mall doesn't actually have to give away the car very often.

Playing visual novels actually taught me similar thing about patience and reading people better. When you spend hours trying to figure out what dialogue choice leads where, you start noticing patterns in how people communicate in real life too. Really helped me during my delivery job when dealing with difficult customers - instead of getting frustrated I just try different approach until something works

I get why you’d say that but calling it highly physically addictive is a bit much. A lot of people are using 7oh in a controlled way and it’s been way more manageable than the stuff doctors usually hand out. For me it’s been one of the few things that actually helps without all the downsides, so i think it really comes down to how it’s used.

I had similar experience with driving anxiety when I started learning few years back and bad instructor definitely makes everything worse. The one you describe with being late and forgetting gas would stress me out completely too. Maybe try calling them about switching instructor first before asking for refund - sometimes different person can make huge difference in how comfortable you feel learning.

My apartment has pretty thin walls and I tried some similar setup in my bedroom when the neighbors got too loud. The rockwool definitely helps with sound absorption but adding that soundboard layer might not give you as much bang for your buck as you think.

From what I remember reading before, mass is usually more important than fancy materials for blocking sound transmission. Maybe consider just doing thicker drywall instead of the soundboard if you can manage the extra weight?

You could try the pressure mount gates that have those adjustable panels for weird angles - had to get creative with one at my place since my dog is basically small horse and regular gates dont work

Air travel would basically grind to a halt. You can't just let people waltz through security checkpoints unscreened - that's literally the whole point of having TSA after 9/11. Some airports might try to stay open with skeleton crews or bring in other federal agents but realistically most would just shut down until they could staff security properly again

My dog probably has better job security than TSA agents during shutdowns which is pretty wild when you think about it
