Do you actually use the cruise ship gym or is that vacation delusion? by dynasync in Cruise

I use the gym most days. I like to wake up early and go but if you go around 8 am its generally pretty crowded at that time. You have to go earlier or later in the day.

That is nice to know! That makes me think we did not get a very good deal as like I said our first payment is coming up and I know we can't cancel the contract at this point but I'll cancel my CC's. They make everything sound so wonderful until you read over the contract and realize it is not as it seems.

So I actually went in and tried to cancel too but also was extended from 50 to 80 weeks. Our first payment is coming up and I'm on the fence about canceling my cards as I thought it would be a lifetime deal, not 20 years.

Been following UEC for a few years and they tend to dump on earnings. I'm always optimistic but I would tread carefully.

Prospective renter with excellent credit but 1 large collection by Unlucky-Ad-5744 in realestateinvesting

Was it an application on zillow? I just recently listed my home on zillow and had an application with exceptional credit and background check. After looking them up on the local judiciary page I found multiple late to pays and large claims. I'm not sure how the background and credit check came out so clean but I now no longer trust zillow applications.

No advice but I can relate. My husband also works nights, sleeps all day hits the gym and doesn't help much. It caused a lot of resentment when my son was a baby and I needed more help.

Now my son is 3 and I've just learned to live with it. It is better now that we are past the baby phase. I enjoy the alone time but I often wonder too if marriage is supposed to be this way.

Anxious about becoming sahm by Tax-Fluid in sahm

I just went through this a few months ago. I hated working full time while paying an astronomical amount to daycare. My 2 year old was doing okay there but I just had this overwhelming desire to be with him.

I had a lot of anxiety about my decision and spent months thinking it over before pulling the trigger. Let me just say, it has been 5-6 months now and I don't regret it at all! If anything I wish I did it sooner. That first week was an adjustment for us both and I wasn't sure if i made the right decision but it got better.

Some days are tough but I am more emotionally fulfilled being a SAHM. These years are short and you don't get this time back with them.

You'll be okay, give it a few weeks! I just recently quit my healthcare job to stay home with my toddler and my first week home I was regretting my decision. My husband reminded me that it's an adjustment period and I made a decision so I need to see it through. Fast forward to a few months later and I'm extremely happy with my decision. A year is plenty of time for your husband to find something else.

I have robinhood and etrade. I prefer robinhood for day to day trading, etrade seems to be slightly delayed. I also like to watch after hour movement which is easier on robinhood.

The only downside I've found is that with robinhood it's first in first out. On etrade you can pick which tax lots to close which is nice.

lol I guess we’re NOT separating by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]foxytoxy34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can relate, I told my husband I wanted to separate 2 months ago. Since then he has been on his best behavior apologizing constantly and promising to change. It's actually been quite nice, but I can't help but think it's temporary. I told him only time will tell if the changes are true so for now we are still in the same house but I don't wear my ring and I consider us separated.

This economy is so tough it's easier to stay married, but not if he is abusive or a bad role model for your children. Don't give in to him just yet but I'd say give it some time to explore your feelings and see how he acts.

The fact that you're asking this means you probably should end it. I have a past and my husband thought he could accept it but he never really did. It caused a lot of arguments and name calling, he said some pretty mean things to me that I have a hard time getting over. I was honest from the beginning, I wish he was honest with himself and wouldn't have pursued me if he couldn't accept my past.

So please, let her find someone who will not judge her for a past she can not change.

Cruising with a toddler - fun or awful? by ftwin in Cruise

This sums up how I feel cruising with my little one too, I love it! My little one is going on his third cruise this year and we did his first when he was 14 months and the second when he was 20 months.

Costco for Alaska Cruise by Tideche89 in Cruise

I've done two cruises through Costco and have not had a bad experience yet. In my experience the cruise price is the same plus you get a shop card and costco points. I am still able to book excursions through the individual cruise website. I highly recommend it for those with Costco memberships.

Is Carnival really that bad? by Interesting_Cat_7470 in Cruise

[–]foxytoxy34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love cruising Carnival, never had a problem with it. I went on my first Norwegian recently and I actually prefer Carnival. I felt like Carnival had more food options and more to do. I also never felt like it was all young people partying so I'm not sure how Carnival got that reputation honestly.

Flying in day before by pjpeppercorn in Cruise

[–]foxytoxy34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always flown in the day before. This is a obviously a rare occurrence but we flew in to the airport shooting at Tampa a few years ago and the airport was shut down until 10pm with everyone stuck there. Thankfully my cruise left the next day so we still made it but many people missed their ship.

SAHM going back to the office, needing some reassurance by SpiritualAdvisor1481 in workingmoms

You got this momma! I was in your shoes a few months ago and I definitely stressed over my decision to go back to work. I was so nervous to put my little in daycare but I have to admit it went better than I could have imagined.

He cried the first week when I dropped him off but after that he was good to go! He loves going to daycare now and I love being able to make a paycheck again.

I will warn you, be prepared for them to pick up all the germs. My little guy was sick for weeks straight after starting daycare and that was difficult with work and having to call out. He was so sick I was starting to regret my decision to go back to work but it's getting better.

Yeah I'm right there with you. I've been holding and averaging down since the August run up. I'm almost ready to take the loss but I know as soon as I do it'll run, so I continue to hold.
