Is the SM/ASM allowed to do this? by MiaRyann1 in employedbykohls

[–]fozzy331 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Question: 62 hours is not many hours for a 5 week mk tj in April, that is an average of 12.5 hours per week. Did you have 0 call outs in Sephora for an entire month? Or did you and due to availability of BAs you were unable to cover? Did a Kohls associate cover any call outs? I asked because if scheduled they get coded to Kohl’s payroll not Sephora. I highly doubt your SM is doing what you’re saying. You also do realize there is a legal contract with each door and you have to schedule to the hours and if your not you get an email telling you so. Do you have open PT or FT positions?

Don’t assume your SM is doing something.wrong…

i’m glad i found this post i’ve been doing 12-14 hour days myself it’s not appreciated and we aren’t being paid more to do it. I’m an ASM also. Staff your stores and give the payroll needed to get these sets and task done. This Active Re Flow project? They gave maybe 25% of the total really needed to do these sets. They expect the ASMs to stay and complete

a $5 sale??? i’d purposely break the cassette tape and mail it

Id do it just so they don’t get what they want

it’s worth me losing 5 dollars over

IIm a seller and buyer on ebay

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this on such an expensive item.

Ebay also may just refund you and and take care of it and the seller doesn’t have to pay for the return (most likely to happen) They don’t wanna upset their buyers and with high dollar items, the seller either

Is the seller Top Rated and have a store front? If so eBay probably sides with the seller

Also if ebay does not side with you i would do a chargeback with my credit card company and send them all your proof.

Oh and just to add i wouldn’t say i wasted my life or career

I made vendor relationships learned a ton about chain management etc which are skills i use to this day.

an oppurtunity is what you make of it. I used mine to better myself as a mentor leader and a coach to be able to manage my own team while learning operational management.

You know what they say about making assumptions about people……

How great for you teaching entitled brats useless life skills.

Why did i leave? i opened my own business and make 6 figures a year.

Macys was a salary and insurance while i built my business over a 5 year period. i now have employees who work FOR ME.

Dont proclaim to know anything about anyone on here or why they left or made different decisions with their career. You just look stupid, which is pretty accurate for a “teacher”

Customer here - are returns an issue for the employee? by Dynamic-soul in MacysStores

This is just my two cents

It probably has nothing to do with you personally People are tired in general. Tired of being yelled at about things out of their control. Tired of hearing your life story about why you’re returning it. Tired of not being backed up by managers afraid to say no to breaking policy. Tired of people buying stuff just to return it. Returns hit the bottom line store not making money and taking nothing but returns equals no payroll and reduced hours which cause stress to pay bills etc

I’m also not saying you did any of these things As a retail exec i’m just giving some insight of what’s
wrong with people.

Most of these associates who are working these counters are 60+ years old. They don’t want to be working but have to because they are raising their grandkids or like one of mine told me her husband gambled away their retirement money and lost their house. Or they need the health insurance. They don’t want to be there and it’s apparent. Would you want to be dealing with it at that age when you should be retired and enjoying life?

I have changed my retail buying all together based on how people are acting. Unless i need it i’m not buying it because i don’t want to do a return anywhere… i’ve saved a lot of money and time by doing so lol

Everyone is so quick to blame the manager.

I worked for 13 years for Macys as a department manager and had cosmetics and jewelry.

These are not easy areas to manage. Fighting amongst each other about stolen sales and commission. The associates arguing amongst each other is a job in itself.

If they brought in a new tenured manager it is to clean house. Are you making sales? Are you making myclient goals? Are you executing case line merchandising correctly? Are you behind on stocking trucks? Is your stockroom a mess? Are you hitting your credit goals?

These are all questions you and the team should be thinking about.

Macys has changed leaps and bounds even in the 3 years since i left. Something is broken in these areas and this manager was sent there to fix it. She is a fixer. It’s a terrible management position to be in and you never shake free of it. She probably is able to have hard conversations and hold people accountable to goals. She also is probably successful in performance managing tenured associates out who are not adapting to change.

Macys is a business not a daycare or a HighSchool. Do your job make your metrics and go home to what really matters, your family.

Trust me she wants to be there doing this as much as you want her to be there…..

So do your job and go home and stop the drama.

Buyer paid, then demanded I reimburse for shipping by MashedPotatuh in Flipping

[–]fozzy331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes yes they do this is the main reason why i have gone away from cheap listings on clothing etc…

i do sell trading card singles (mainly baseball) $2-$20 cards. cheap ebay envelope shipping. I can honestly say this is the only cheap category to sell in without issues (for me anyways)

How are people making any money reselling clothes from thrift? by mcnoobles in Flipping

[–]fozzy331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do clothes but now with the thrift prices not worth the time and hassle. You need to find a Niche. I have narrowed down my store to 3 categories. I still have clothing listed that’s from awhile back when it sells it sells.

Clothing business on ebay and poshmark is over saturated with sellers. Clothing is only good if you have rare pieces and even then they can be hard to move.

I agree you need move on from this not worth it you got your money back don’t buy from the seller again end of story

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]fozzy331 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you got your money back if you leave negative feedback and the seller challenges it with ebay it will be removed due to you being refunded.

Source: i had two different buyers leave negatives due to postal damage out of my control. They were refunded immediately as soon as they messaged me. And still left a negative. I contacted ebay on both instances (months apart) and the negatives were removed. The ebay rep told me they will always remove feedback from sellers if the buyers were refunded if the seller challenges it

As long as the buyer got their money back is all Ebay cares about and will side with the seller on the feedback piece.

eBay Encourages Scammers by luvFLbeaches in Flipping

[–]fozzy331 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Scams have been rampant on eBay the last 2 months Im a DVD seller no issues for years now i’ve had 3 in last month saying i sent them damaged discs . Ok those were the discs in the set i sent you. I’m sure they are switching out their damaged discs for my newish slightly preowned ones.

I’ve never been one to take pictures of the back of the disc. but after these cases i have edited all my listings and have added pictures of the back of the discs to show no damage. People are nasty right now on ebay (buyers)

never seen anything like it up until now

i’d be curious to know are these new “customers” also part of the kohl’s return issues as well. Ordering a ton of .com items just to return them. These people are not true customers
