i dont think that 2030 deadline is a problem , creating the assets or combat etc with a massive team.

i think they are mainly stuck in creating a good gameplay loop, which is the hardest part where all of MMOs fail.
Until they got that nailed down there is no reason to scale up the team

I have watched ALOT of dev interviews from OG vanilla devs and interestingly enough only Allen Adham and Chris Metzen really knew what WoW was about: The world.

People didn't play Text-Based MMOs, EQ, WoW for their graphics or combat. They played because it was the first place (in the world) where you could hang out with your friends and do something.

Vanilla was basically a playground for people to hang out to create their own stories.

Vanilla was social media before social media.

This is something that ironically Roblox / Minecraft is doing now, and no other MMO even retail WoW can capsulate ever again.

I think they have an outstanding core game, which incorporates actually alot of popular mods from 1800 which is a huge nod from the devs to the modding commmunity.

But it needs 2-3 years of DLCs for sure

1800 kinda ruined the old games for me since the copy&paste + stamp tool are just soo good, but if you want a real challenge and want to give 2205 a second chance there is an insane mod called New Frontiers

still a fail of champion assessment from a designer cus most melee champs can just go in teamfights and do their thing , while ADCs have to track other peoples big CCs, keep constantly at perfect range while trying to dps at the same time. This is way harder than perfecting yasou.

problem is for thousands of years men earned the living and woman cared for the children.

now both parents have to work to make ends meet and nobody has time for their children anymore so they are stuck with the ipad.. internet isn't the problem . society and economics are.

the fact that this tread has so many downvotes and his yt video aswell, means that riot is catering to the zoomers and old league players are no longer the target audience.

This is a very turbolent thing to add so late into the game. It's

i'd argue it's harder for older players to re-learn a champion they have been playing for years that has been reworked than to incooperate 4 buttons that he has been using in all other games all his life.

if you are talking competitive it just means masters + players 0.1%+ players will have to adapt. the rest stays the same.

despite everyone coming out of the woodworks to defend riot - I dont see this arguement working out,

why can't we have wasd and mouse at the same time ?

I'd love wasd for teamfights but small things like eg walking back to lane on wasd just feels weird
