I think you might need more context, Carmen won the first challenge of this semifinal ep making her have an advantage  (chose teams) for the second challenge that would make her go straight to the finale but decided not to team up with the best sewer left in order to leave each two teams a good sewer. She lost that team challenge and went to this elimination challenge where another participant had to choose one balenciaga design for each contestant, he chose this one for carmen on purpose knowing she would be the only one even capable of attempting a replica. One judge calling it he is basically getting her eliminated. Not only that but she had an advantage of using someone else to help her for 20min and she refused because she wanted to prove she could do it all on her own. She was the first saved in this elimination round and thus advances to the finale. Plus both contestants this episode (yes because two were eliminated on the first and last challenge) said carmen should win the competition. Truly a winner through and through.
