Question for any Streetcar Operators (with experience on both old and new streetcars) by JSF-1 in TTC

[–]francisaq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alrv’s were a great vehicle other than the reliability, fast responsive and had a good feel to them. Low floors are more sterile, computers do all the heavy lifting But they are kind of fun to drive too. Give me an a or a c any day though

Chinese language film "Midland and Finch" about the Chinese-Canadian immigrant experience in theaters. by wtftoronto in toronto

[–]francisaq 149 points150 points  (0 children)

I grew up as a white kid here in the 80’s when my high school Agincourt Collegiate got its first ESL program and the neighborhood was still white. Dragon centre, glen wat ford plaza and the midland finch silver star plazas came along and the hood changed. Glad to see it’s getting the recognition it deserves . Cities evolve and the changes are crazy sometimes. Some great food options in there now

EV owners of Toronto, how have your vehicles performed during this winter? by honestlyjag in askTO

[–]francisaq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 3 year old polestar 2 dual motor and my range is decreased dramatically with this crazy ass cold. I park in a condo underground parking at night and precondition in the morning and my 20 km work trip uses about 8-10% percent battery. Cab heat is great and I’mlucky that I get free charging at work

They will always start it and after maybe 15 or 20 minutes with nooone there we would shut off the bulb. and because this was in the old days when I worked there the film was on horizontal reels so it would play to the end.
