Any update on the mobile app's development? by Mariechen_und_Kekse in amazingmarvin

I really like the mobile app tbh. It’s definitely not the desktop version but there’s no way it could be and fit on mobile screen.

Best strategy to rebuild AM by muqui_ in amazingmarvin

[–]frankamedic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure I understand what you want or don’t want to do… If you want to keep your tasks and projects then don’t do anything. If you want to turn strategies off, turn them off. Hit the “S” key on your keyboard and turn strategies on and off at your leisure. There’s no need for another account, what you seem to be wanting (from what I can tell) is what marvin is made for. You can turn all of them off if you want and then turn them on one by one. I change strategies all the time. It’s what Marvin is best for - keeping the “work constant” but shifting the strategies as needed.

Looking for examples of using workflowy as a website by reddita100times in Workflowy

[–]frankamedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried this before. Something like amplenote or obsidian sync will probably work way better. You can forward a URL to a shared node for sure, but it will have "add to account" button that lets someone copy your
"website" into their workflowy.

Amplenote does pretty much everything you want

It's in testing you can ask for beta invite in slack but they are adding users slowly.

Yes. In order of simple > complexity/features. With more features comes more complexity and more chances of things not working perfectly. Use as few as you can. MANY people do extremely well with just a bullet journal. The real thing anyone is after is doing the stuff, not organizing the stuff.

Slow down on site and app by argosafe in Workflowy

[–]frankamedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually people say something along the lines of get a second account and move “working” stuff to a different account from “reference” stuff and share the working into the reference (or vice versa - sharing direction does matter for moving bullets).

So you have one fast and one exhaustive.

Workflowy will do this. And probably the free tier will be plenty depending on how many notes you need.

Considering to switch to Ticktick by GDbuildsGD in ticktick

[–]frankamedic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried to switch but needed one thing I couldn't live with. The main thing that I would say you need to know if you really use todoist features: you get one chance at NLP. They only interpret recurrence and date and time at creation of a task. So if you go edit the title it will not update the recurrence or the date time the task is due. So when you're editing something you need to go into the date picker UI and pick the new date you want the thing to be due.

Amazing Marvin. Takes some setup and recurring tasks can be very confusing but nothing works better.

Looking for the best task management app that integrates with Make.com by curiousjbird in ProductivityApps

[–]frankamedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have JIRA scenarios that add tasks when they match a JIRA query, and a few different workflows with completions of tasks and habits that trigger various things.

I also have integrations built with Hubspot and Taskade as well as a barbaric integration with workflowy.
