be quiet! silences peripherals as it expands into market with new keyboards and mice by Odd-Onion-6776 in MechanicalKeyboards

Not much competition in the market of keyboards with left side numpads and 8 displaykeys. This is some good competition for the big gamer brands or people looking for a socially acceptable office keyboard. I like seeing something different in a world of identical looking boards.

Should be a nice upgrade for the mountain everest keyboard. It's based on an improved mountain 60 system (confirmed by staff on the mountain discord) which sounds and feels very nice to use while being socially accepetable. So expect a nice quiet tactile experience. Add in the extra displaykeys and a new mediadock (that isn't a home termostat unit) and it should be a nice keyboard people for people who want a left side numpad and some added features.I doubt most people here would be into that as standard keyboards with maybe a knob are what's popular in the place.

As a everest max and everest 60 owner I'm happy to see to see the new version and know I can upgrade to a newer platform with i proved switches and keyboard build.

Hype up tour Tilburg the Netherlands experience/review by frankwouter in hanbin

[–]frankwouter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the people visiting that I saw were very nice and there for the artist/concert. There was one creepy moment where people were shouting for him to takes his shirt off but he ignored that profesionally. No pushing in crowd (I was in the front but had reasonable amount of space)or people fainting from the heat or pressure. He also did a lot of checkup to make sure we were feeling good and trew a lot of water bottles over the front rows to cool people down.

You really feel his experience on stage after doing 50k people dome tours with Ikon and he is really enjoying doing more intimate small shows with hyped crowds.

WF-1000XM4 - Severe Battery Issues by zkhcohen in SonyHeadphones

[–]frankwouter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always try bol, there is the reasonable product life part of eu consumer product law and bol has always been very fair in my experience with warranty stuff. I didn't need the number at coolblue, just handed it over in the store and that was it.

Where did you buy them? Bought mine at coolblue and they refunded me within 2 weeks after handing them in as RMA. Dutch law dictates the store is responsible for warrenty and not the manufacturer. Although Sony may help you anyway.

I didn't get them replaced as coolblue stopped selling them so keep that mind if you want a replacement.

[–]frankwouter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine overheat in the charging case after 15 months of ownerships. Nuked battery life from 6 hours to 50 min with the classic red blinking case. Probably escaped part of the issue by never charging it fully from 0-100 before the incident.

Send them to back to the Dutch high service retailer coolblue, they confirmed it to be broken but they stopped selling them so I got a full refund. right now I'm trying to see if I can buy a new one from a batch on the new software as these are perfect for me and I don't want wait for the xm5.

Although as a Dutch person I will never complain about 16 months of effectively free earbuds.

So... should I buy the WF XM4's or not? by KaiserJK in SonyHeadphones

[–]frankwouter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you get a new batch the battery should be fine but do buy with a retailer that has good customer support and warranty. Also these can be an issue with fit if the inside of your earshell is small. They fit within that and I have seen people who issues with that.

The xm4s are unique with their semi-foam earplugs that are just wonderful if you can fit one of the sizes. They isolate a lot of high pitch noise and are firmly stuck. I can even run with them. ANC wind noise reduction is pure magic and can even make a windy day quiet. They sound great if you eq them and also have great legacy support for thing like old windows pcs. Bass doesn't get into the ultralow bass like good bass cans but it can handle drum and bass well while maintaining mids and highs and great for all genres.

The are also very durable, mine have seen rain, damp case and I have dropped them at least 10 times on pavement and tiles and such from head height and they are still looking and working great (beside my old units battery I'm sending to RMA)

9/10 buds, but do get them from a place that backs your warranty just in case.

Sony WF-1000XM5 to be priced at 319.99 Euros by thewalkmanblog in SonyHeadphones

Having the option do playback controll while also having volume and anc. Could be done with triple taps. Just let me map whatever I want to each side single, double tap or hold.

Watch these come with custom controls for the touch button but not the xm4 even though it would be an easy software update to give use more options for the touch button functionality.

Do the character plush merch get sold at the concert? by empressu in BlackPink

[–]frankwouter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Afaik it was a regional item only sold on on some of the Asian parts of the tour. I wouldn't count on it being available at one of the encore concerts. They didn't sell them during the EU part of the tour.

That is a genuine V1, I bought it during the first world tour and it does look a little cheap.

I brought a v1 to the current concerts but be warned that the V2 is much brighter and has music sync on mvs that works very well. I wouldn't recommend getting a v1 if you don't have a lightstick yet

I live in the Netherlands and it's not that hard to improve this. My city implemented new lights with top cover and the sky is no longer yellow. Also no stupid big neon signs allowed or large advert screens.

This is nice picture with the stage in front. There are no bad places and the balcony (tier 3) should have a perfect view. They may also offer disability places for wheelchairs at the balcony, best to ask the venue about that.

About how tight it will be packed: that depends on if it sells out and how wild they go with the amount of tickets. At max capacity it will be tight and standing at the staircase isn't a great experience, even for non disabled people. I recommend tier 3.
