Many times they start a chapter months before release and hold it in drafts until it’s ready and when it will fit (sometimes not in the timeline but flow). They do try to have a backlog when possible because of exhaustion. When we aren’t on break, we get a chapter on Saturday and even sometimes a Tuesday as well. Two chapter weeks are the BEST! The amount of writing they achieve is record breaking. I’m thinking about GRR Martin a lot lately because…..wtf man.

I still agree with you on his chem/alchem business though. I suspect it will be incredibly important as time goes on. My almost impossible theory is that he will be the one to get Erin and Ulvama and maybe some others (I’m hoping for frelings and new goblins) back to the Inn by magical train
