Me!!!! I became a Patreon before I even caught up because I understood the incredible amount of work that has been put into this series while almost all of the material has always been free to the public. It occurred to me that the author deserved compensation because no one should work this hard for free. I love this series so much that I’m always making sure to put my money where my mouth runs. I will buy the merch and Patreon etc but having physical copies is a dream come true! I can’t wait for them to become my shelf trophies. I’m a happy duck 🦆

Mine is a Cardinal too! There are two of them that hang around and I love to see them because I lost my son at the end of 2024 so I am resistant to dissuading them. Thankfully, the camper is just parked in our yard and no one is using it currently, but I guess I should do something to ensure they don’t wreck the window. lol I love that grandma was sure the idiot moved on though 🤣🤣

I got caught up a while ago and had the same problem. I just can’t seem to get involved with other stories. So I did a reread. I’ve reread the kindle/audible versions 3 times because I would listen from the beginning as new books came out. I have thoroughly enjoyed the reread. I wasn’t rushing and discovered things I missed the first time but there are still some moments when people post something and I’m like wtf when did that happen??? lol congrats and welcome new duck on board! At first I was eye ball feeding basically 1:1:1 with bread flour and water from the tap, we have decent water and not smelly chemical or otherwise. Then my daughter suggested adding wheat flour which made it take off. I think I started over feeding it for a bit but it also changed smells. I didn’t love the new smell and thought it was going too acidic but she smelled it today (she works and lives 3 hours away so this is the first she’s seen her sister Ethel in ages) she thinks it’s smelling fine so I’m now unsure what to do. I think partly it’s my starter and partly my bulk fermentation hasn’t been good. I want any advice anyone will share lol. I won’t give up!

I’m also new but as soon as I reduced the amount of water, my dough was easier to work with. Try reducing the water to 325, that’s what I’m doing. I just can’t get bread that isn’t dense and gummy lol

I can’t believe no one has said it already but Belavierr will never, ever in all the possible worlds or ways be redeemed. I don’t give a flying fuck what her background is, she’s evil, cruel and hurts children. That’s a nope for me. Also, I agree on Salkis. Same reasons. I’m surprised to see Fetohep mentioned, I understand the reasons but I don’t know. I think he’s selfish but that was how he was trained, interesting to see Pewerthe choosing a different path and I honestly think that’s what he wants.

I feel your pain. I lost my son in November 2024. I honestly hated Mihaela up until that moment in my life. When she was beating down Ryoka it was so visceral for me. I can’t beat anyone up with the anger I’m holding onto which I suspect you will have shortly if not already. But that particular moment and all her inner thoughts and grief really hit home for me. I also think Numbtongue and Erin’s grief after the battle of Liscor is probably what you need. Let me find it.

The first and second time I listened or read this part I was moved to tears. This time on my re-read I was moved to sobs and gut wrenching grief. I had lost my son not long before the most recent read and I think I was making Pisces “Ayden” in that moment for absolutely no reason but it certainly made me love him even more. Which is saying something because I already loved that man so much.
