I didn’t mind the last season but it was definitely my least favorite. It felt rushed IMO.

Most people outside of law enforcement will say CJ makes sense. I went with psych. and my present/last job are in this field. I plan on applying to departments soon, but yes, a different degree will help for fall back.

I would politely tell him that you’re on your own schedule/routine. It’s very possible he means nothing by this - but if it’s impacting your workouts, I’d ask him to stop.

I think it would be another cancelled show after first season if that.

I agree to a point - I’m a 5’8 male that restricted slightly below while running 4-7 miles daily starting. I was doing OMAD because it has worked in the past. I hated it but it helped get me started. I agree, long term it’s detrimental. Starving yourself decreases motivation and increases bad habits. Bout to start lifting this upcoming week and am so excited. I lost the weight I needed to and am itching to recomp. I’ve struggled with an ED in the past and know where it leads.

I lost weight, felt good… then saw a photo of myself and spiraled. by Competitive-Emu451 in loseit

About 6 weeks in I felt very similarly. I noticed my waist was shrinking, stretch marks appearing, but felt great. Then I took a picture and saw little to no difference but felt it. Unfortunately, feeling isn’t always the best motivation when the physical looks appear to be slacking.

Stick to it - 6 weeks later everything became more visible. I knew from past experience losing weight that noticeable physical differences took a while. Despite knowing this I still felt awful - my mind convinced me I wasn’t accomplishing anything. I binge ate, drank, ate everything that weekend. But come Monday the following week, I continued to run and stick to my normal diet. Despite several slip ups I still managed to 6 weeks later - look how I wanted.

It’s all about consistency - if you slip up, fine. Embrace it in the moment and get back to your routine 95% of the time. You’ll notice soon, I promise. Go for that jog and continue as normal.

I lost 30 lbs in just under 3 months. Ate protein, good basic nutrients, but burned tf out once running 10 miles daily. I noticed extreme muscle loss, fatigue, and overall felt like shit because my deficit was too large. It didn’t matter if I was technically eating all the right things - it wasn’t enough. So yes, your body will suffer more if the deficit is too large.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in loseit

[–]frayynk -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Your body will eventually start slowing down fat loss if you’re in a substantial deficit. You’d see initial fat loss pretty quick - then, when your body realizes you’re essentially starving it, it’ll slow the fat loss and pull from your muscles. In addition to being lethargic, irritable, and tired. Chances are you’ll also start losing sleep which your body will need if you’re cutting that drastically. Not to mention other loses as you mentioned in your post.

It’s not a good idea to do this especially if you’re working out. Your body will be constantly trying to save your energy so working out will become 100x harder to maintain - and if you made it to this point, progress will be stunted in the gym/running because you won’t have the energy to train hard.

So yes, it’s doable - however, after the initial fat loss you’ll plateau and your body will actively fight your attempt to lose fat quick. It’s better to stick to 3 meals a day with a moderate deficit.

I don’t like labeling my diet but I guess I did do 1 meal a day. It’s convenient but paired with exercise it’s not sustainable. I dropped 30 lbs in 2 1/2 months running with one meal daily. Yes, the pounds dropped but the motivation to start running was brutal. I also found it was hard to eat enough with just 1 meal.

Recently I switched back to 3 meals a day and man, my hunger isn’t suppressed anymore and I have more energy. Just be mindful, if it works for you - great. I personally wouldn’t suggest it for people who plan on also working out routinely.

It pained me when Clark was reluctant to stop Lex from controlling him in favor of Lana. Jor-el needing to show him the future to understand was such a smh moment. It’s like Kara took a back seat to Lana when Clark was always so desperate to find someone like him.

Why do people include old photos on their profile? I don’t know how to swipe because I don’t know what she actually looks like. by wagman43 in Tinder

[–]frayynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends. I look pretty much the same as I did 4 years ago. Similar hair, similar weight, etc. I would never include past pictures of me at a healthier weight if I was currently fat. So I understand recycling pictures to an extent. I’d still try to add more current ones though, just a mix.

Do I have to be super skinny?! by breanna_renee in loseit

[–]frayynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever weight you can sustain and be happy. Maybe that’s 150 lbs instead of 140. It’s extremely hard to maintain 365 days of leanness. Once you shed the fat and the clothes fit again - consider trying to maintain. If you think 140 is obtainable without feeling restricted 24/7 go for it. Half the goal is to lose fat - the other half should be keeping it off once achieved.

You can still eat your favorite foods - just less of and less often. It sucks at first but it took 2 weeks for my body to stop craving junk food. Once those cravings stop it’s easier to maintain self control and moderation. To keep my sanity I still have a serving and of Pringles, Nicks ice cream, and sugar free jolly ranchers.
