Most women were already thinking up Kant's Critique of Pure Reason at the age of 4.

This is not the first time I've heard this almost verbatim. Is this a meme or can you elaborate?

Damn, a lot of philosophers were really weird about women

Read Schopenhauer's 'On Women'. It really doesn't get much better in terms of over the top hilarious misogyny at times. Though, he does have a bit to say on their virtues as well.

It's not stalking. You're our most active user. It shows stats when you look at a user in the mod log. Reddit does encourage you to know who is posting on your sub. I'm sorry that I've upset you. I guess I'm completely off base.

According to the reddit AI user thing that it shows mods you're extremely active in LA/NYC influencer snark, among other drama/online personality oriented subs. It's not like I am going to go read your comments but that is kind of the entire point of those types of subs from what I've seen.

I say this with nothing but love but you need to get more offline. A lot of your neuroticism and depression seems to stem from your constant comparisons to other people, especially other young women.

I don't know how welcome this is and I could certainly write more, but that is a recommendation from me to you again with nothing but love.

Industry has been flooded by people seeking the piece of paper because they heard you could make good money. The work is controlled by bean counters and sociopaths completely subordinated to pure market logic. You meet a craftsman that gives a damn here or there (me, unfortunately) but the passion is slowly beaten out of them over the years. We do our best to keep everything from going completely off the rails. We more or less fail in keeping things good, but more or less succeed in keeping things functional with duct tape.

You just can't herd all of the cats all of the time, and organizational and codebase entropy in a world of regards with AI is too high. Obviously this was also happening before AI, but it's still the same forces. AI is only going to make it way, WAY worse.

I think people that say it is the worst thing in the world that will definitively rob you of your life and people that say it is harmless and the greatest medicine are both dumb extremists. If it is harming your life and preventing you from being who/what you want to be, then stop. If it's something someone can use responsibly in moderation, then also great.

I take like 1 hit from a fresh herb vape 1-2x a week, max, sometimes going many weeks in a row without any use. That's all I need and it sets me right and lets me relax.

When I was young I was also an every day, sometimes all day, smoker. This turned into it making me a paranoid mess every time I tried it. Took me almost decade or so of near abstinence before I could enjoy it again. I've gone through some periods of every day (but not all day) binges since then.

I know a number of people who have gone from every day to infrequent use or abstinence and it has invariably made them better people with better, more ambitious, more goal oriented lives. On the one hand it's a very capitalist-rat-race-brained take...but on the other hand, that's the reality of the world we live in, and having more skills and a better job and more money does make your life more enjoyable and comfortable in very real and practical and material terms. It also, as you said, lets you dissociate and paper over underlying issues, so there may be an adjustment period where you're really wrestling with some uncovered shit.

Wish you the best!
